Synopsis

Chapter 1 - You are nothing but a danger to society.*

In a world where people receive missions parallel to their own existence and life, there is an unknown entity that hides behind walls of concrete and iron, known as 'The System.'

The System owns the gears of society and has taken root in this way, making it irreplaceable and necessary. It dictates trends and creates laws, within its own way as an institution intertwined with society and the State, stories are created and shared with the world through its virtual platform.

Anyone at any time can access a 'System Plot' and stay for endless hours watching people act out plots created exclusively for them.

The System blesses and offers the possibility for selected people to leave miserable or boring lives in order to contemplate a parallel existence where there are no limitations.

The System has the philosophy that anyone can be entertained, at any time, with the stories that best fit their mood and energy.

There is no such thing as impossible for The System.

---

Irina could hear footsteps clattering on the concrete.

Tech... tech... tech...

The gray cubicle she was now supposed to call home didn't have much more than a bed, a table, and a chair, and her tedious days inside that high-security prison were diligently controlled by armed people ready to react to any dubious movement.

"You are nothing but a danger to society."

Now she was serving the sentence of her trial: 457 years, 11 months, and 26 days for corruption, attempted murder, kidnapping, and attack on common peace.

After acting for so long as if the world was hers, the end of the line had come for her, and all she could do was live in silence in that place until her death.

Well, that's what it should be and that's what it normally would be.

But Irina was different; she wasn't someone who would squander her entire life in a shoebox. However, the time trapped inside that place made her have a distinct perception of what was around her, and in fact, any perception of sound or movement called her attention. Everything was always so quiet and silent.

At that moment, it was impossible not to notice that the footsteps had stopped right outside her cell door, and all that mattered was what it could be... Or who.

She stared at the steel door and surprisingly heard the sound of keys rattling, followed by the sound of one of them fitting into the door.

Was the door being opened?!

That didn't surprise her; after all, it was something expected. But what made her really curious was why it was so fast. She even believed that she would stay in that place for a while longer, luckily, she seemed to be wrong.

Well, maybe she shouldn't think too much about it; not false hopes. There was also the possibility of just being some idiot just making trouble.

Which honestly wasn't impossible; so many bizarre facts had happened in such a short time. Nothing surprised her anymore.

Irina kept the same way she was before all that movement, so she chose not to pay attention to it and simply closed her eyes and pretended to sleep on the hard mattress.

But a female voice came up, and even her heart sped up. It wasn't a false hope. "Irina, come with me; the time has come."

She immediately understood that it was the director of the prison; she smiled in satisfaction. Finally!

She opened her eyes; it didn't take much more than a blink of an eye to get out of that uncomfortable bed, and without reluctance, any kind of reluctance, the director made room for her to get out. There was no reason to go on pretending.

It really was done; she could walk away, and there was no more sentence or wrongs to pay. Yes, she felt emotional and smiled openly, a smile loaded with several emotions, but the main one was without a doubt: relief.

Alongside this, she could hear a celebratory tune and an electronic rumble of a crowd clapping.

Really cute.

[Quest Complete: Complete the 'Unbreakable' System Plot.]

ZDF987: *Congratulations, Irina! You completed the villain storyline of: Unbreakable.*

The robotic voice resounded in her mind filled with happiness; ZDF987 was one of the Envoys who acted as representatives of the great System and would ensure that the chosen people could act properly in the face of the System Weave they belonged to.

People could be free to act according to their mission in that scenario, and the limitations or guidelines were said by such chosen ones, that nobody could know if they were other people or machines. How to know?! Casualty was low, and when they appeared, few were involved in what was related to the private lives of their selected people.

All that mattered was The System and it alone; as long as there are no conflicting attitudes, there is no need to intervene.

Irina listened to ZDF987 and could barely contain the happiness in her chest; she was overjoyed to finally finish that job and move on with her life.

Heavens, only she could know how awful all those months had been, but it was over.

That was not an ordinary world; since the emergence of the great System, it had ceased to be an ordinary world. Many people were destined to live plots acting as their characters in real life, and with the help of the Envoys, stories were told.

Of course, even in a no longer ordinary world, ordinary people would still exist. So not everyone would have their Envoys or stories to follow, but those who did would be within a specific storyline from birth and would be guided when the time was right.

These 'System Plots' were transmitted and seen by people in their homes; it was enough to have a simple subscription and follow what you want within the world created by the System.

The public could follow the entire life of their favorite heroine or villain. Over time, that very easily surpassed fiction; people could not simply follow a televised soap opera or a teen series; there was no emotion.

You're not on the edge of yourself; how can you compete for my attention when I have such wonderful people actually doing all those things?! Yes, you didn't know if it was a world or a business; in the end, it didn't matter.

Now he would be whatever he wanted, turning the gears as he saw fit.

'Unbreakable' was a huge success mainly for its dense drama and its confrontations.

The system was the villain's way of ensuring she could see evil without worrying about actually hurting anyone. Of course, the protagonist was not really in danger; everyone trusted that so that there were no scruples, and the plot could be done with excellence.

Who could resist a passionate and intense plot?! It was an essential success and broke all possible records.

Not even the sky was a limit or maybe a maximum-security prison.

Irina Cerdic had been selected as the villain of 'Unbreakable,' a story starring Bella Opsahl and Emil Cerdic who acted respectively as heroine and hero.

Yes, definitely the plot wasn't easy, and Irina had to work hard to be a capable villain, but now everything was finalized, and she could live free.

That could all be in the past, right?!

"Unbreakable" tells the story of a girl who lived in an orphanage until her 17th birthday when she was adopted by the wealthy and influential Vell family from Glosoa, where the plot unfolds. Despite the Vell family's long-standing status and sovereignty, they faced a severe crisis and the real possibility of bankruptcy. To save the business, they orchestrated a marriage but lacked heirs. They then forged an adoption, and thus began "Unbreakable."

Bella, the adopted daughter, became entangled in a manipulation and deception plan against the Cerdic family. Irina, Bella's sister-in-law, was determined to destroy everything and everyone who tried to deceive her family for their gain. Meanwhile, Emil, Irina's younger brother, fell in love with Bella and protected her from Irina's schemes, hoping for a happy marriage.

The plot was full of suspense and passion, with many ups and downs until it concluded with Irina being condemned by justice, and Bella and Emil living happily ever after.

The prison director congratulated Irina on her performance, suggesting she could win the "best villain of the year" award. Irina, surprised by the praise, felt a mix of embarrassment and joy. She hadn't anticipated receiving any awards but was grateful for the recognition.

The director, speaking as a viewer, expressed admiration for Irina's performance in "Unbreakable." Irina, overwhelmed by the praise, didn't know how to react. She was eager to return to her old life before "Unbreakable" began, as these System Plots blended fiction and reality, and a clear starting and ending point was needed to ensure the well-being of the characters and actors involved.

Despite her success in the plot, all Irina wanted was to resume her normal life. She was ready to leave behind the character of Irina Cerdic and return to being the rising businesswoman she was before "Unbreakable" took over her life.
