I awoke like I had just submerged from the depths of water, my breath hitching and my chest rising and falling.
"Breath, Ava" A sharp hold and a smooching voice behind me allowed me to settle my nerves. I tried catching my breath as he continued to hold me tight and I relaxed more in his hold, squeezing my eyes shut before shivering. It was so cold, I felt like ice, even cold steam came off my mouth as I took deep steady breaths.
Suddenly, hotness rivaling even my own consumed me and all the cold vanished and replaced with warmth.
I instantly pulled away and I faced William. "You're not supposed to overuse your aura," I said with a worried tone and noticed how he looked paler than usual, but a smile still rested on his lips, not having a single bother.
"It does not matter, you need the warmth"
