Chapter 20 - Home

A beautiful lady appeared behind Lucius.

She had long snow-white hair and a perfectly shaped divine face that screamed of regality and Nobility.

Her plump rosy lips perfectly accompanied her shining ruby-like eyes. She had the figure of a goddess as every curve of her body seemed to simultaneously embody beauty, lust, and majesty.

She wore a simple but long thick white martial dress embroiled in black traditional Reizon designs that covered her entire figure.

Lucius looked at his grandmother's soft and loving eyes and memories from his childhood resurfaced.

Before he could lose himself in nostalgia he felt the touch of a warm hand reach his face and softly caress him.

"What have they done to my little boy…" she softly murmured.

Her voice was so low that Lucius couldn't hear her but Mavis had, which made his expression contort in anger and guilt for a split second before he calmed down and regained his bearings.

"How have you been Grandmother?" softly asked, Lucius.

"I should be asking you this question Lucy, common let's sit down."

Aurelia sat next to Mavis, her beloved husband, and looked at their grandson with an uncountable amount of emotions swirling within her soul.

This was the little boy they had raised, their little Lucy. Due to the repeated absence of his parents, Lucius and his siblings had mainly grown up with them.

To see his eyes contain such buried rage and fury tore her from the inside and filled her with guilt. Even though he tried to hide it, his grandparents could see the never-ending pit of fury and despair that fueled Lucius's every move and action.

Mavis reached out and held his wife's hand to break her out of her daze, his gaze softening as he could already see what she was feeling. He had seen the abyssal pit that dwelled within his grandson as well.

"So you want to integrate one of the temples…a few of our ancestors have entered the temples with some of them holding high positions but we don't share any links with them anymore."

"The Reizon house can easily withstand the pressure of any sect but if a Major temple decides to act we'll be forced to retreat unless you can get your mother's Clan to support you as well." Calmly said Aurelia as her eyes gleamed with a cold light when she mentioned his mother.

"Why are you guys so sure this will end in conflict ?" asked Lucius.

"If I follow their rules and climb their ladder under their traditions, nothing should happen right?"

Mavis slightly laughed at his grandson's ignorance while Aurelia gave him a warm smile which confused Lucius even more.

"Once you awaken you'll understand what we mean. To them, you're a goldmine."

"I guess we'll have to force the blooming to happen even earlier…"

Mavis heavily sighed as he said these words.

"It depends. If he goes as our descendant then it's either that or…you'll have to unseal it but I'm not sure he's ready to bear its weight as of now."

"If he goes anonymously, the second they discover his talents and the fact that he has no backing they'll immediately cut him up." Said Aurelia with a pensive look on her face

Lucius was still confused as he heard his grandparents talk amongst themselves.

'Blooming? What is he talking about and who exactly are they referring to by them?'

"Is it perhaps a problem of strength? What if one of you guys managed to reach the 9th step?"

The moment he said these words Aurelia and Mavis instantly unleashed their powers and domains and covered everything within the vicinity.

Their power was absolute and not subjected to any sort of limitation or logical definition as they erased the moment that had just passed from all timelines and parallel temporal constructs.

As if Lucius had never said these words.

Despite this, Lucius's memory was intact as he curiously looked at them.

"What's with the exaggerated reaction?" Calmly asked Lucius as his aura changed and he regained his original Royal and god-like imposing air.

Mavis and Aurelia immediately noticed this change and instantly got on guard by unleashing their auras but before they could do anything Lucius raised his hands with a light smile adorning his face.

"Who…are you?"

"Alright…I guess I'll have to explain a few things."

—————

"Hm…w-What just happened?" Groggily said Lucius as he regained his consciousness.

The second he had proposed a path to the 9th step, his vision went black and he lost consciousness.

Looking around, he found himself on the same spot he had been, facing his grandparents.

"This makes things a whole lot more complicated…" Absentmindedly uttered Aurelia.

"We know you have questions Lucy but you'll have to wait until you receive your class to get the answers you seek." Apologetically said Mavis.

"So my memory acted up ag- Huh? You know about the Great realms??" Asked Lucius in shock.

Classes were things you normally received at the 3rd great realm so considering the fact that no one in the Genesis had ever gone beyond the 9th step of the first great realm…it didn't make sense that his grandparents would know about it…unless…

He had only know about the truth of the world and the existence of the higher heavens thanks to his innumerable reincarnations and searches.

He had dug so deep into the waters of Genesis, he reached the deepest parts of its abyss, touching its bedrock.

In his search for truth he had discovered such dark and horrible secrets, he shivered just thinking about it, not in fear but in…

"Like I said, you need to be patient. All your questions will soon be answered."

"I really wished it didn't happen under such messy circumstances but it's not gonna ruin our reunion!" Exclaimed Mavis.

"Come! I'm sure you wanna see what changed in your absence!"

Confused, Lucius could only bitterly smile as he saw his grandfather's dismissiveness.

'What the hell just happened…'

Pushing the unknown at the back of his mind, he flashed a large smile as he followed his grandparents.
