His friend still hasn't averted his eyes, watching Atlas getting ready. 'What a monster... ' he thought.
"Terry."
The one sitting not far from him raise his eyebrows, waiting for the next word to come out from Atlas's mouth. "What is it?"
"The intel you gave me... It is from a secured source, right?"
"Of course it is!"
He sighs at the answer received. His existence even reached the faraway land of the vampire's kingdom. His job scope might get larger soon if the rumors about him continue to circulate.
"Trust me you won't regret it."
Pulling the end of the gloves he is now wearing on the right hand. He then turned to face Terry. "Will I get the vampire's item?"
"Ahaa... Of course, no." He replied. "But you will be able to enter the vampire's area without struggling. The rest of it is up to you."
Indeed, he expected that much. The ring is not an easy object to obtain. Based on his finding the ring only hold the power of one of the main family. There are five main families in total who support the highest authority in their hierarchy, the royal vampires.
"Anyhow, you will still get a large sum of gold once you get the job done." Terry's words pulled him back from his thought.
"I just need to kill this Flint guy and my job is done, right?"
Terry nods his head repeatedly. "You get it right."
"Do you know where the Avstand resides?"
The question asked is something predictable. The ring that Atlas is so obsessed with is coming from the Avstand family. But they are named as one of the royal pillars for a reason.
"Unfortunately, I don't know." Even if he knows from his wife also he won't reveal that fact to Atlas. It will be like throwing his friend directly into the hyena's den.
"Alright, then it is my job to figure it out."

'Okay let's see... Which vampire will I prefer to kill if I was given an option?' Her eyes rummage through the view in front of her. Staring one by one at the representative of each main family at the round table.
"Why must we postpone the hunting event?" Her ears perked up at the topic raised.
She was initially dragged to the meeting to get familiarized with their so-called meeting system by her father. All the stupid elders of the main family do there is discussing over the same thing in a circle. Never-ending bickering. No wonder his father refused to talk or give any opinion unless necessary. Nothing will change. Each one of them have their own alternate ego that cannot be solved only by talking.
"We got the news that the dragons were attacking our west land. We need to settle that problem first."
"Nonsense! We, vampires never bow to anyone. Just sent the royal army to crush the dragons. It will be settled in the blink of an eye." Speaks the one who never needs to jump into the battleground. What stupid remarks does he even make?
Her father who is sitting next to her lowered his head before smirking at the statement made. Perhaps having the same thought as her.
"Are you stupid? What did you take the life of people for? There will be a lot of loss if we do that."
Finally, Octavia feels a bit relieved to hear someone call the idiot aristocrat as stupid. He is indeed one of a kind.
"Who did you call stupid?" His voice thundered across the room.
'Ahhh... He makes a mistake. '
"Quit it." Here we go. Her father's voice. The one who never cares to contribute. The one who hates hearing loud noises.
Vampires have sharp hearing, of course, so it won't be pleasant to be shouted at like that though they were only the audience there.
The room fell silent. Each pair of eyes in the rooms averted to the Ashburn's head. No one dares to cross him.
"Since it will be a hunting event. Why not hold it there?" As graceful as he is, the voice echoed clearly.
"You mean we change the venue to the west?"
"Yes," he replied.
Some of them are thinking of the idea and nodding their head.
"That is quite a good idea," Avstand's head complimented the suggestion made.
"Indeed, since it is a hunting event. Only the best are joining. Besides showing our power and solving the problem, it can also bring honor to the main family who was able to eradicate them."
Octavia takes a glance at her father. Mesmerised by the good judgment he makes. A good leader indeed.
Noticing her daughter's eyes on him, he looked at her back before smiling. He pats the back of her hand under the table to give assurance that everything going to be fine.
