Chapter 1: Advent of a runemaster
John was a studious school boy who had always taken his academics seriously. He spent most of his days buried in books and studying for upcoming exams, striving to get the best grades possible. However, he also knew the importance of taking care of his physical health, so he made a point to go to the gym every day after school.
Despite his busy schedule, John was happy with his life. He had a few close friends, and he enjoyed spending time with them outside of school. He also had a passion for music and would often play his guitar in his free time, finding it to be a soothing escape from the stresses of school.
However, things took a turn for the worse when John's girlfriend, Emily, broke up with him. They had been dating for a few months, and John had thought things were going well. But Emily had other ideas, and she ended the relationship abruptly one day, leaving John feeling devastated and heartbroken.
John tried to carry on with his studies and his gym routine, but he found it hard to focus. He would often stare off into space, lost in thought about what had gone wrong with his relationship. He stopped playing his guitar, finding no joy in it anymore, and instead spent his evenings scrolling through social media and listening to sad songs.
As the days passed, John's mood continued to worsen. He found it hard to get out of bed in the morning, and he would often skip classes and workouts, feeling unmotivated and lethargic. His friends noticed a change in him and tried to reach out, but John found it hard to talk about his feelings, feeling embarrassed and ashamed of his heartbreak.
One day, John's gym routine took a dark turn. He had always pushed himself hard in his workouts, but now he started to become obsessed with his physique, spending hours at the gym every day and obsessively tracking his diet and exercise routines. He became fixated on the idea that if he could just get his body into perfect shape, Emily would come back to him.
Despite his intense workouts and strict diet, John's mental health continued to decline. He found himself becoming more and more isolated, pushing away his friends and family as he struggled to cope with his feelings of heartbreak and worthlessness. He would often lie awake at night, unable to sleep, his mind consumed with negative thoughts and feelings of despair.
One day, John made the decision to take his own life. He couldn't see a way out of his pain and felt that the world would be better off without him. He left a note behind, apologising to his family and friends and expressing his love for Emily, whom he believed he would be with in the afterlife.
John's death came as a shock to those who knew him. They had seen the signs of his decline but had not realised the severity of his pain. They were left with a sense of sadness and regret, wishing they could have done more to help him before it was too late.
In the end, John's story is a tragic reminder of the importance of mental health and the need for support and understanding in times of crisis. His death serves as a warning that even the most seemingly successful and studious individuals can suffer from mental health issues, and that it is important to seek help and support when needed.
Right before he died, John had heard something strange…he heard the sound of a child, screaming," Yoink!"
The sudden sound of a child's scream startled John, and for a moment, he wondered if he was hallucinating. He looked around, but there was no one in the massive hall in front of him. The scream seemed to have come from outside, but it was faint, and he couldn't be sure.
He looked around but saw no one, and the scream had stopped. He felt a chill run down his spine, and he wondered if he was losing his mind. He had never experienced anything like this before, and he felt a sense of unease creeping over him.
As he walked down the pathway, John felt a strange sense of detachment from the world around him. Everything felt surreal and dreamlike, and he found it hard to focus on anything. He felt as though he was floating through life, disconnected from reality.
As John walks down the massive hallway, a chill runs down his spine. The air is still and heavy, as if it's holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. The walls are made of old stone and are covered in moss and spider webs. The only light comes from a few flickering torches that cast eerie shadows on the walls.
The silence is broken only by the sound of his footsteps echoing off the walls. Each step seems to get louder and louder, as if the hallway is trying to swallow him up. The further he walked, the more he felt like he was being watched, as if something was lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce.
He tries to shake off the feeling of dread that's settling in the pit of his stomach, but it's no use. The hallway seems to go on forever, twisting and turning, leading him deeper into the darkness. He can't help but wonder what kind of place this is, and what kind of secrets it holds.
As he approaches the end of the hallway, he sees a door at the far end. It's old and creaky, with rusted hinges that screech as he pushes it open. The room beyond is dimly lit, with a single flickering candle casting shadows on the walls. The room is empty, except for a strange feeling that seems to permeate the air. He can't quite put his finger on it, but it feels like something is lurking just out of sight, waiting for him to make a move.
"You know, I had decided to try something different to get a better reaction and I had to say I am not disappointed."
