"The air on this island is still as harsh as ever. Right, Johan?" the man who had merely stepped out of his ship asked Johan.
"You are correct," Johan answered.
"Who is that?" one of the sorcerer candidates mumbled to one of his fellows.
"I dunno. Never seen him before."
"Brother," Aular tugged her brother's cloth. "Look over there."
Aular pointed in the direction of this individual who had just joined them. It was obvious he was an important figure given how the mage proctors welcomed him as he appeared.
"What is he doing here?" Bram wondered.
The Sourde siblings seemed to know who this man was and it bothered Bram even more that someone like him would be on the Three Skull Isle.
Bram glanced around the forest and also at the sky and the ground.
This individual was not the usual examiner. Seeing him present made Bram wonder what exactly was his mission on the island.
"If they sent him here, then this island is no ordinary one or something else is up."
