"How long before we get to the isle?" Avalan asked the examiner, Johan Salt.
"I reckon a few hours," he answered.
Avalan scoffed at Johan's reply, but he could not do anything about it. He turned to Jaesai who sat in a corner and grumbled in frustration. Oberon, on the other hand, had no care for whatever was going on as he slept soundly.
Avalan Aizenwald walked up to Johan and stared down at him where he sat.
"What exactly lies in the Three Skull Isle?" he asked.
Johan chuckled. "A curious one," he muttered, "but what's the fun in telling you."
"Since we have a lot of time on our hands, you might as well do so," Avalan debated.
They were hours away from reaching the isle and that was enough for Avalan to hear what he wanted from the examiner.
Johan laid his back on the floor and sighed. He said nothing for a while as Avalan watched him before sitting up again to speak to the young man.
"You're going to find the feathers of a bird," Johan revealed.
