'The queen?'
Morrin blinked her eyes to shake off the nightmare. She might have been worried about her mother a lot because of Brunos's words that her mind decided to play tricks on her. But her mind didn't seem to have any problems. The succubus in front of her was indeed the queen; standing there and giving her a glare that carried killing intent.
Morrin was used to locking eyes with the queen for she reported to her almost every day. For she sometimes consulted her advice. However, now she felt humiliated and lowered her gaze as if the Queen's eyes mocked her.
For the queen had arrived there, Brunos would no longer die. He probably would be taken to the palace and get treatment. What would he do to her? Would he really put his words in actions?
'No no!'
Just thinking about it left her feeling sick. There's no way her mother would be a victim of her stubbornness. What was she thinking offending him? Oh devils! If only you could save me from this once. If only you could make him forget about my mother. At least me. At least I can...
'No!'
What was she thinking? How could she wish her virginity to be claimed by that brat? It's not like it would be a terrible experience. It would be an honor since not everyone would get such an opportunity. The problem was, would he do it properly knowing he's getting his revenge?
Morrin decided to leave it for a moment and focus on what was happening around her. She didn't want to draw conclusions when he hadn't said anything. What if he was joking around? Maybe he would even forgive her. Despite being arrogant, he seemed like a kind soul.
'I've decided to leave it for a moment. Why am I still thinking about it?' Morrin scolded herself, shaking her head as the wind does to a tree.
When she decided to wander her eyes, they fell on Fellene. He stood frozen, back facing the queen, and unable to turn around. His face was mostly painted with humiliation, but also with anger and fear. Was he afraid of what Brunos might say to the Queen? That Valeria would hate him from then on? Did she even love him? Morrin had been with the queen for a long time, but she didn't seem to show any affection in her actions towards him.
Fellene refused to help with breeding. Everyone interpreted it as his silent message for the Queen. 'I only love you.' He has even never danced with anyone except the queen. It was clear to everyone how deeply he loved her. How much he wanted her. Nevertheless, they knew how one-sided the relationship was. How If Fellene was a mountain, the queen was a valley beneath, Fellene's love flowing like a waterfall to never get anything climbing up the cliff.
"What are you doing?"
The queen had not spoken for years. Why was her voice so authentic? Morrin couldn't guess why. She instead studied Fellene's reaction. His lips shook like he was trying to say something, but only hot air came out.
Her eyes followed the Queen's gaze who had decided to give Fellene time to think. They fell on Pagern and Zeal who still held Brunos's wives like hostages. The succubi looked relieved and perhaps pleased for they knew the Queen would have them released.
"Why are you hurting them?"
The Queen's question made Pagern exchange glances with Zeal before his mouth fell open. "What else should we do with the wives of a traitor?"
The Queen clenched her hands into fists and Morrin wondered why. Was she angry with Pagern for calling Brunos a traitor? Maybe was the wives fact. Every demon knew the truth behind her muteness. If she still loved Brunos, him returning with three wives would be a stab in her heart.
"Who's a traitor?"
Pagern glanced at Brunos as if to answer the queen's question. Despite being a bit worried, he was as calm and calculative as always.
"What if he is?" the queen asked. "This is my realm. You have no right to anything on its land. You better free those girls before I show you who rules here."
Fellene chuckled. "Oh! How scary! He might be in your land, but his betrayal affected my realm too. I have..."
"There's no need to fight," Fellene's voice cut him off. He spoke as if everything was normal. As if he wasn't ice cold moments ago. Though Morrin knew his love for Fellene was like his for the Queen, his ability to take charge in any situation was one of the reasons she loved him.
He glanced at Zeal then at Pagern. "Release them!"
Before the Queen could say anything, the girls ran Morrin's way. She stared at them in horror as they approached unable to move. How would she react if they wanted revenge? The Queen was there. She couldn't fight them. She just stood waiting for whatever they intended to do to her.
However, instead of charging at her, they hugged Brunos while crying, calling his name and touching his injuries. Their actions screamed concern and love. Affection and connection are only their auras emanated. Brunos gave them a weak smile before passing out.
"No!" said the one whose wings and outfit were the same as the Queen's. Crimson and brown. Lilyon that's how Brunos called her. "Brunos no!" After examining Brunos, she ran past Fellene. Where was she heading? Morrin couldn't tell.
Lilyon crunched beside the green one who lay on her belly her body sparall across the ground unmoving. Was she dead? Lilyon grabbed her head gently and placed it on her lap as she sat on the grass. "Are you alright?" she asked shaking her bare shoulders.
Morrin's eyes swept over everyone who watched the scene. They were looking at the two; the Queen with curiosity, Fellene with anger and his brothers with disgust. It's only the one still hugging Brunos who looked at them with concern.
"Brunos hurts," said Lilyon to the green one. "His injuries need to be taken care of now." She continued gently shaking her head. "Wake up please!"
Morrin's mind was filled with questions. Was she a physician or something? Why was Lilyon telling her to take care of Brunos's injuries?
As if to answer her questions, she woke up and ran to Brunos. Everyone stared at her as she closed her blue eyes. After seconds, the parrarel bluish lines under her left eye glowed. Brunos's injuries were bathed in blue light that remained for a while after flowing through his body.
Morrin couldn't believe her eyes. Only a witch could heal someone without portions. Who was she? How could Brunos's wounds close and leave no scars?
The process carried on for minutes until Brunos hiccupped. Morrin felt him moving again and thanked the devil that he was still alive. She didn't want the Queen's love to die in her arms.
Brunos stared at the queen, but before any of them could say anything, the green girl collapsed. He jumped to her rescue before her body hit the ground. His arm reached behind her knees and seized her in the air as another supported her upper body.
He then placed her on the ground gently and kissed her. What? Morrin was stunned. Did they love each other that much? But the kiss looked weird. It was as if he was pumping her. What was that supposed to mean then? Morrin had never seen such a thing.
As if kissing her was not mesmerizing, he lay his hands on her chest and kept pressing her to the ground not forgetting to kiss her after pressing. Was that how sex was made? Why would he do it there to a girl who had passed out? Though Morrin grew with ambition for that never gave her a chance to listen to gossips, Brunos's actions matched none of the little information she had about sex.
First, she had seen Zeal and Pagern kiss succubi at parties, but the kiss was never like that. However, the sight activated her lust. Would it feel bitter if her lips met an incubus's?
Second, sex was sacred and was therefore done in a private room. They would also remove their clothes. Why did Brunos and the girl on the ground remain in their outfits? Whatever they were doing, her lustful brain started to long for the same. Why did she picture her self under Brunos? What was it about her body's desire for the same hands to massage her chest?
"My lady!"
The voice pulled her from her reverie. She didn't need to turn around to know who the voice belonged to. Uliva was the only one who addressed the Queen that way. She has been her maid since childhood. They were close so my lady's tittle remained even when she became Queen.
Behind Uliva a tail of maids and guards could be seen; some still ogling the creation in the sky. A butterfly Morrin still wondered where it cane from.
Morrin responded to the Queen's commanding glare by running towards Brunos, the Four Auburns following behind her. She locked eyes with him as she reached for the girl in his arms.
Instead of handing the girl to them, "She wants some rest." He said smiling at Morrin mischievously. Morrin glanced at the queen for further commands, but found her looking at Fellene.
"I hope the explanation for this is clear," the Queen said to Fellene as she turned towards the castle. "Let's head to the castle and rest so you can reconsider your lies."
***Dear readers, I used the Queen to refer to Valeria in this chapter because that's how Morrin calls her. Some times, I might drift away. Instead of dropping the book, why not tell me what your suggestions are? Who knows? They might guide me into creating a better content.
