The group had been walking on guard for nearly 20 mins and this was starting to wear down on even the resilient minds of Qi cultivators.
As old Ming was walking, he suddenly came to a halt.
Looking forward, he could see that there was a strange object lying down nearly a metre in front of him.
As he stepped forward to get a closer look Old Ming subconsciously frowned.
The creature had nearly no resemblance to what it could have been and looked like a mangled pile of flesh.
After inspecting it for a while Old Ming finally realised what the creature could have been
"A dead hare" muttered Old Ming
"A dead hare?" asked Gu Wen, puzzled at the man's words.
"Yes, from what I can see, even though the corpse had been brutally mangled, it wasn't what killed it. "
As Old Ming was speaking he turned over the corpse with a nearby stick. There's a clear piercing wound around the corpse's neck.
