Chereads / I Am a Necromancer in A Cultivation World / Chapter 16 - 16. Testing strength

Chapter 16 - 16. Testing strength

Instantly, a black mist spread out as a tall bone figure crawled out of the ground holding a large bone sabre

Fang Yang wasn't too bothered about using the system to summon a skeleton in public since even if he was seen, it wasn't even the slightest bit strange for people to control Skeletons on the Corpse Ghost Sect.

Fang Yang instructed the Skeleton to walk 10 metres away from him, just like the corpse puppet, and then attacked once again.

Silver lights shot out of his sleeve, slamming into the standing skeleton, smashing against its arms and skull.

After attacking, Fang Yang walked over to see the effects and was rather satisfied

When he went to see the Skeleton,he saw that the Skeleton was still standing, but the places where his knives had attacked still showed signs of damage, with Knicks and dents clearly being visible on the skeleton's bones.

Although the attacks hadn't been enough to kill or destroy the skeleton, it was enough for Fang Yang to be satisfied.

Skeletons were made up solely of bone, and that is always the hardest thing in any living organism.

The Flying Swallow Knife focused on piercing damage, so if Fang Yang really wanted to deal with the skeleton, then he would have to find ways to incorporate either blunt or explosive damage attacks into his arsenal, but Fang Yang simply didn't see the need to

At the spirit gold mines, what Fang Yang will be facing are not undead monsters but instead living breathing creatures. And when it came to living creatures, Fang Yang didn't have to destroy their bones completely to deal with them. All he had to do was just puncture or damage a vital organ and that would be it.

In addition to this, since his attacks were enough to damage his skeletons, which had the defence and power of an early-stage qi cultivator, he should also be able to Pierce the skins of gold eating mice which were only early stage monster beasts.

Even if a mid-stage monster beast showed up, Fang Yang had the power of the Battle Saint Corpse puppet to deal with it, so he wasn't worried.

With that, Fang Yang put away his summoned skeleton and looked towards his system

Name: Fang Yang

Class: Necromancer

Level: 1

Mana: 0

Skills: Summon Skeleton - Mana cost: 1

The summoning of a skeleton used one mana so Fang Yang finally wanted to take this opportunity to find out the rate at which his mana would regenerate.

After watching for 10 minutes, Fang Yang finally saw his mana recover back to one.

The mana displayed on his system had nothing to do with the Qi he had accumulated within his dantian.

Fang Yang determined that this must be some exclusive energy of the system or power source.

Whether it was the type of mana that Fang Yang was familiar with that often appeared in games and novels wasn't something that Fang Yang could figure out at this current time

A mana regen rate of 1 Mana every 10 minutes wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst thing either.

It just meant that after his skeletons were either put away or destroyed, it would be difficult to use them again within the same fight or either immediately after one, so he had to use them wisely.

After thinking like this, Fang Yang closed his data panel ad turned towards the Battle Saint Corpse puppet

Ever since he had gotten the Corpse Puppet, he hadn't ever gotten a chance to truly test its abilities.

The Battle Saint Corpse puppet was the broken inheritance of a Powerful Ancient cultivator.

It was said to be created by powerful cultivators during a time of bloody war throughout the realm. Back in those times, even a golden core level cultivator was just slightly bigger cannon fodder to be slaughtered, so one could just imagine how terrifying the battle saint corpse puppet had to be to be able to compete during those times.

Fang Yang's only regret about the Battle Saint Corpse puppet was that the inheritance he received had been broken, only allowing for it to reach the Foundation Establishment stage.

If it had the information of the higher levels, then Fang Yang could confidently say he could be unrivalled at the same level but since that wasn't the case , the battle saint corpse puppet only allowed for him to be arrogant up to the foundation establishment stage.

Of course, with Fang Yang's cautious nature, he would never do anything as stupid a s to go around shouting that he was unrivalled at the same level.

If it came to that, then fang yang already knew he was unrivalled.

Just who would be able to withstand a crazed siege of 10 powerful undead at the same level? Although that wasn't Fang Yang's own personal strength, it came from his system, so it should still somewhat count, at least in Fang Yang's mind it did.

Besides, even without the system, this powerful corpse puppet should have been enough for Fang Yang to make a name for himself. The Battle Saint Corpse puppet came with it's own innate abilities, but ever since he completed the refining of the corpse puppet, Fang Yang hadn't even gotten a chance to try them yet.

When he first refined the corpse puppet, he was so tired that he instantly fell asleep.

The day after that, he was so stressed having to deal with his newfound debt and incoming debt collectors that he had simply forgotten.

But now Fang Yang finally had a chance to find out its real power; he wouldn't let that slip past him.

The Battle Saint Corpse puppet came with some innate abilities whilst it was in the Iron corpse stage. The first of which was an ability called war cry.

From what Fang Yang knew, War Cry was described to be an ability that could stun and shock enemies for a short period of time.

Using his connection with the Corpse puppet, Fang Yang instructed it to attack with this ability.
