Three Years Later
Enjoying a hot cup of tea near the eastern window that offered a serene view was one of Chen Zoe's rare moments of peace. Over the past three years, life had become hectic—proof that adulthood never goes easy.
Piles of paperwork, expeditions, teachings, and sect meetings began to encroach on his once carefree life. However, that day, something unusual occurred.
A red envelope appeared out of thin air and landed in Zoe's hand. It was adorned with red and golden threads, giving it an elegant appearance. Opening it, Zoe read the contents, and though surprised, a genuine smile spread across his face.
Just then, Rui burst into the study room, holding a similar envelope.
Breathing heavily, Rui glanced at the envelope in Zoe's hand before exclaiming, "You got one too, Senior!"
"How could I not? After all, I'm his one and only nephew."
