RING! RING!
"Hello!" Diana picked up the phone as she placed it on speaker.
"Diana!" Mrs Peters voice was heard in the silent office.
"Mum, you've landed." She replied happily as silence reigned at the other side of the call.
"Mum is everything okay?" She asked, worried.
"Yes...I meant... Kian..."
"Kian? What happened to him?" Diana asked, rising to her feet.
"Kian...he's missing." Mrs Peters said.
"Missing? How? Didn't he come with you?" Diana asked.
"Yes he came but...he wanted to see you so he ran out of the gate looking for you." She explained as Diana burst out in tears.
"My son? How mother? I trusted you with kian's responsibility how could you let him leave?" Diana questioned as Mrs Peters could only apologize.
"Mum it's fine, I'll be there soon just give me some time I'll tell the boss and leave." She stated, wiping her tears.
"I'll call the police."
"Yes."
Diana disconnected the call, grabbed her handbag and was ready to leave the room when Ethan suddenly opened the door.
"Miss Peters are you okay? You look worried?" He asked as Diana could only wipe her eyes.
"Urm... Sir I have to leave urgently, I know you might be thinking that I'm trying to skip work but it's not true, I have a problem to solve." She said as Ethan looked at her for a few seconds before replying.
"Problems? What could they be? I meant I could be of some help right?" He said.
"Sir, actually my son is missing." She stated.
"Your son?" He repeated confused.
"Yes, he has been missing for some time now."
"Oh? When last did you see him?" He asked, trying to control the different emotions, brewing within him.
"I don't know, he came back with my mum from the airport and since then he had been missing." She explained.
"Fine, I'll involve the commissioner, your son will be found, I promise" Ethan smiled.
"Thank you sir." She replied.
"I'll tell the driver to drop you off." He offered.
"No sir, I'll just order a ride."
"No! I insist." He said as Diana could only agree.
"Thanks." She said and left.
"That stupid detective!" Ethan groaned as he hit his fist on the door.
"Boss!" Oscar called.
"What's the problem now?" He asked irritated.
"Sir the medical report is out and it's here with me." Oscar replied as Ethan's mood brightened up.
"Then read it out!" He ordered as Oscar nervously opened the envelope under the watchful eyes of his boss.
"Say what's in it!" Ethan asked impatiently. He'd been waiting for this piece of paper all day. He knew that this boy might not be his son but something in him was telling him that the boy was his son and besides he thought that this was his only chance to get rid of Theresa Williams if the child was his.
"Boss...the child...."
"Just say it already." Ethan replied impatiently. He seemed to be running out of time and this his assistant wasn't making it any better.
"Boss the child...the child is yours."
