Synopsis
When a completely ordinary teenager finds out he isn’t quite as ordinary as he first expected when the world went to hell. He doesn’t realize just how truly special he is. I do not own the cover, I got it from a screenshot I took on istagram when I was looking at a band called infected mushroom. It is also the band that made the music that inspired me to write this novel

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Hurtling through space was an extremely large cluster of planets held together by giant mushrooms, there were thousands of planets being held together, and in the centre of it all was a small sponge like planet the size of Earth's moon.

The mushrooms holding them together were giant mushrooms that were at least fifty kilometres in diameter, the height of these mushrooms varied due to the reason that the planets they were connected to were that distance apart when the mushroom finished growing.

Inside the centre of the sponge like planet was a tiny throne made of mushrooms, it was the size of a baseball, sitting on that throne was small humanoid being that appeared to be in deep contemplation with it's small pointy-fingered hand resting on it's chin.

It had the appearance of the Amanita Phalloides, or more commonly known as the Death Cap, it looked like a Death Cap with arms, legs, and a pair of beady black eyes that had absolutely no emotion in them. Some of the spores were released from a mushroom in the throne room and they floated towards the small mushroom being before sticking to it's body, and then they disappeared into a puff of nothingness.

Smacking it's tiny hand down, the mushroom being would have been adorable if the entire cluster of planets didn't shake so violently that the mushrooms connecting them actually threatened to tear apart. After noticing this though, the mushroom being calmed down and sent a command through the entirety of the planet cluster.

Information had been transmitted through those spores, a fleet of Exterminators was on it's way to the current location of the planet cluster, and they wouldn't survive the encounter with them. Acting as a giant hive mind, every planet in the cluster had a consciousness inside of the core, and the mushrooms connecting planets together reached into the centre of the planet , and drained the life and energy of the planet.

This would turn the planet into nothing but an empty shell with only mutated life inhabiting it, the only life on it were the mushrooms that were previously growing on that planet and grow after it is connected with other ones, and the plants and animals that mutated because of the presence of the mushrooms.

When planets are taken over, entire solar systems are targeted and raided as quickly as possible before any Exterminators can catch them, but this last solar system that had been targeted was somehow a trap and was used to pinpoint the current location of the planet cluster.

The way the solar system is raided is quite unique, to say the least. Large condensed spore clouds are shot at the planets, the spores used are ones that grow extremely quickly, an entire planet the size of Earth would be overgrown with mushrooms in just over a day.

An hour later, with Earth's time, large mushrooms would grow so incredibly fast that depending on the size of the planet, it would start shaking because of how fast it's growing. Two days is the amount of time required for the mushroom cluster to take over a solar system.

Even though it grows that fast, the core of the planet won't be damaged by the mushroom because the core has already been infected by the spores that took over the surface of the planet. The Exterminators were a group of universal law enforcers that tried to keep order within their Universe.

They almost always exterminate the being or beings that are threatening the Universe, but they have been trying to exterminate the mushroom cluster for millenniums, but somehow the core of the mushroom cluster always escapes somehow.

The reason being that the tiny humanoid mushroom that could make the entire mushroom cluster shake, was in possession of an ancient artifact that was built by the Exterminators many millions of years ago, when they were ruling the Universe.

It teleported a target planet to a location that was controlled by the Exterminators, but because of the events that happened in the last million years, they have been on a steep decline that is making them weaker every few centuries.

Their area of control has shrunk so much that they now only control 1% of the Universe, instead of the more than 90% percent they had controlled in their prime. No being except for the Exterminators themselves know why they have been on such a steep decline, but you would have to be crazy to ask them.

No one who had asked them has ever escaped their area of influence after learning the reason, the reason for that is that they were imprisoned inside a black hole, that was then tossed into a crack in space. When another being needs to be added to the prison, the black hole is brought back via an anchor that was placed around it.

Back to the situation of the planet cluster, Exterminators had flown out in groups of thousands from behind the planets in the current solar system, and they then assembled into a large net formation around the planet cluster.

Looking like a vaguely humanoid being, the Exterminators were pitch black with pure white chains restricting their bodies, they were incredibly small compared to the planet cluster, but that was because the planet cluster was so much larger.

In reality, they were at least a thousand metres tall, which is quite tall, but they are only the second strongest level of soldier, the strongest soldiers are well over 20,000 metres tall, and there are millions of them. But that is back at the region the Exterminators control, those soldiers stay there until they are called upon by the Supreme Exterminator, who is also the first Exterminator.

After surrounding the planet cluster, the Exterminators started unleashing beams of black and white light from their hands. Whatever the beams touched disintegrated into particles of ash instantly, there was no resistance able to be put up whatsoever.

Frustrated at the situation that it has found itself in, the mushroom being retaliated unhesitatingly, it shot out large flexible mushroom tentacles from all the planets that it controlled. Those tentacles then shot out green beams of light that was half as strong as the beams from the Exterminators.

Even though it was only half as strong, it still damaged the Exterminators tremendously, causing dozens of casualties on the Exterminators side. If you looked at the scene from afar, it was spectacular, but only because you weren't near that area.

Giant mushroom tentacles shooting green beams of light at humanoid figures shooting black and white beams of light, beams of light flying all over the place, and planets getting holes pierced through them in a matter of seconds.

The mushroom tentacles were on the losing side as they were being pushed back and turned into mesh, the tiny mushroom being then looked at all the planets it had taken before taking a small purple cube out from inside of it's body.

Even though the tiny mushroom being was smaller than a baseball, this purple cube was smaller than itself, being only a cubic centimetre in size. If a Human was in the presence of this tiny mushroom being, then they would notice that the small cube they were holding was a Rubik's cube that was entirely purple.

Rotating a side of the purple Rubik's cube, the tiny being, along with the sponge-like planet, was teleported away to a location set a certain distance away. When the cube was used, its surface changed to that of the normal colours of a Rubik's cube instead of entirely purple, and for it to become entirely one colour again, it will have to have one side completed so it turns to that colour.

Or if the tiny mushroom being chooses not to accept the current colour, they can make colour combinations, like with purple. Each colour has a set distance that it will teleport the being holding it to, the more complicated the colour, the farther the distance travelled will be.

The tiny being hasn't solved every side yet, they have only solved five out of the six, but the distance able to be travelled was already from one end of the universe to the other. So they had an idea of what might entail if all the sides were solved, they would be able to travel across universes.

In the Milky Way Galaxy, a small planet the size of Earth's moon appeared a few light years away from the Earth, it then started rocketing towards the solar system that Earth was in. It would take only a few minutes to arrive there, and when it did, all hell would break loose.

(P.S. I know this is a little shorter compared to other chapters of other novels of mine, but I only planned on making the prologue this short. Also, if you find any mistakes, then please leave a comment so I can fix it ASAP)
