"Might as well eat while we talk" spoke Ling Yue, still beaming with excitement, practically dragged the Seer into the restaurant. As soon as they stepped inside, the smell of sizzling meat and rich broth filled the air, wrapping them in warmth.
The place was modest, nothing extravagant. The floors and walls were made of wood, giving off a rustic, almost worn-down charm, much like a small street restaurant, and the counter where the kitchen staff worked was visible on entry, showcasing simmering pots and grilling meats.
Wooden tables were neatly arranged in line with red drapes on both sides to give each table its privacy dividing the entire place into small cubicles serving only five groups at a time. There was a single straight path to walk tables neat along with the cushions and the beds along the three sides of the table acting as makeshift couches but they were uneven and one could tell.
