But that would not work. Light did not mean death; light meant inactivity, and that's all. People would worship these beings if they were immortal, but in order to be immortal, you needed to be alive. It would be wrong to even call these things alive or dead; they just existed.
"What do we do? Pretend to be dead? Maybe climb the trees? Or hide in a corner behind a bonfire? We can use the bonfire's light," the princess suggested, offering a variety of options.
