Their poleaxes clashed with a thunderous force, stopping just short of making contact, as if held back by an unseen force. Between them, a volatile orb of qi pulsed and crackled, a small storm of energy contained in a fragile balance, threatening to explode at any moment. Both men felt the immense power vibrating through their arms, but neither yielded. Instead, they poured even more energy into the clash, feeding the growing orb until it became almost unbearably volatile.
The Emperor's eyes narrowed as he leaned into the strike, muscles bulging beneath his robes. With a guttural grunt, he pushed forward, attempting to overwhelm his brother with sheer strength.
