Abby and Caspian soon arrived at Grace's office, where Grace waited patiently for them while compiling her work. After they knocked, Grace immediately beckoned them to come in and smiled widely as she saw her son.
She was happy that her son was fine, but she felt lacking when it came to protecting her own son, which caused her to be angry at herself. As Abby and Caspian sat down, Grace said, "I'm glad you're alright, Caspian."
Grace then stood up, sat next to Caspian, and hugged him tightly, her eyes teary, but she held it up. As she pushed herself away, she said with a wry smile and a trembling voice, "Sorry for being unable to keep you safe properly."
"Even after what happened back at the captured base… I still didn't put enough measures to keep you safe," Grace said while wiping a tear that tried to seep out of her eye. Caspian could feel the emotions from Grace's heartfelt words and couldn't help but mutter, "Mom…."
