"Please, come in," the woman said, opening the door widely. Caspian and Abby nodded in gratefulness as they welcomed themselves in, following the woman as she led them to the living room.
"Please sit," the woman said, pointing at the sofa while she sat on an armchair. "You said you guys are from the Bureau of Supernatural Beings… so you're not actual officers, right?"
"We are, but that's beside the point. We didn't come here as part of the government but as part of the bureau. I suppose you haven't heard of us since you're not within the registry," Abby stated, glancing at the woman who simply nodded.
"No, I have heard of you… I just didn't feel the need, nor did I trust your agency or whatever you call it," the woman replied while crossing her arms. She sighed, saying, "But since you're talking about a threat that could potentially lead my family to peril… I will have no choice but to listen."
