The other mercenaries checked the place carefully. There was nothing, not a single trace of vampires' corpses lying in the corridors and rooms. Nothing of what they expected to see was there. It couldn't be that they had wasted a poison bomb, it would be a shame to their group.
"Where are they?!" Samara yelled, searching each of the main rooms. Growing up there, she knew the place like the back of her hand, every hallway and secret passageway, but there was no one, not a single footprint, not a trace. They couldn't have disappeared without anyone noticing, not so quickly, Orion would have warned them.
She jumped up to the first floor along with two of her companions, then she had to check the main office. She knew the treasure and Michael will be there, but like the other rooms, it was empty. "Damn!"
