Eva disappeared... just as quickly as she arrived, the shadow took her back.
However, she couldn't help but become surprised when she saw Kian's face as she was disappearing. He was different from the cunning and shameless human she knew, there was a heavy feeling in his eyes, complex, strong as if he was carrying hundreds of words unsaid.
"You're back," she heard Seth's voice from the other side of the door. "I thought you wouldn't be back until tomorrow."
Eve sighed. She was still naked, and now she had sweat and marks all over her body. But she felt whole, satisfied, and strong. Though, that heavy feeling was suspicious. Everything about Kian and his power to invoke her was suspicious.
"I left you clean clothes, courtesy of the hotel in the bed, I think you will like them."
