Sitting at the edge of a large round table were multiple individuals, and two of them were familiar. Lady Mammon, Lorthel her Housecarl, and other unfamiliar members who all looked like rich nobles.
A man with silver-slicked back hair was wearing noble-clothing, with a black cape around his shoulders, and a large symbol on his back, being that of two Black wings. His name was Henry.
A woman with long red hair, and crimson eyes wore the same clothing with the black cape around her shoulders. Her name was Patricia.
A shorter individual with short black hair, and blue eyes also wore the same clothing. His name was Alex.
A more taller, and broad man wore the same clothing, with long blonde hair. His name was William.
The last member who sat at the end of the round table was a older man, no hair, gray beard, and wore the same clothing as well… however in the middle of the Black wing symbol on his cape, was a large golden crown that the wings protruded from. He was known as Asmodeus.
These individuals were the council of BlackWing, located far away from the reaches of Atlantis City, and civilization in general.
Their headquarters were located in a dimension between dream, mind, and matter.
It is known as the Transparent Zone; crafted from dark magic that dates back to thousands of years. It is still functioning to this day, as the BlackWing has existed ever since those times.
They're all important members who leads this corrupted group, known as the BlackWing.
And now, they were discussing an important topic;
["So… you called us here why, Mammon?"] Spoke Henry.
Mammon conjoined her hands together, resting her elbows on the table. Her black-hood remained over her head, covering her appearance still.
She was in deep thought.
["I have surprising news I must relay to you all, so listen closely, and heed my words."]
The council members of the BlackWing all lifted their eyebrows, bewildered at Mammon's serious tone of voice.
["Wow, Mammon must be really pissed off if she's this serious. You rarely see her this uptight about something — did you piss her off again, Alex?"] Asked Patricia.
["P-Piss her off? I haven't seen Mammon in a month, of course I didn't piss her off this time!"]
Patricia leaned close to Alex with a toothy-grin. Her little fang hung down her chin.
["Oh reallyyyy~? I still think you like her, from how you start blushing when she's around."] Patricia Smugly said.
["Richard… has a son."]
The entire room went quiet, and they all stared at Mammon in disbelief.
Nothing was said for a solid five seconds, as it took a moment for their brains to process what Lady Mammon muttered.
["Richard? D-Do you mean… Richard Ironheart? He has a son? Since when?"] Asked William.
["The boy is at the age of 9, he was captured to be experimented on from the mad-doctor, Caycus… but… this boy managed to kill Caycus, and the other members in the dungeon we kept the Guinea pigs in."]
She referred to the children as Guinea pigs, thinking nothing more of them.
["How is a literal child fighting against demons? Our magical power is greater than that of humans, especially some child. He would need a skill to pull that off, and we aren't stupid enough to capture children with skills!"] Said William.
["Me and Lorthel watched the event take place through cameras we had set up in the dungeon. But there's no reason to worry, it was one of our smaller dungeons, so our loss isn't that great… but—"]
They all listened closely.
["The boy, he's planning on telling Atlantis City about the BlackWing. He wants to let them know that members of Atlantis City is working with us."]
Henry scoffed at Mammon's words.
["Hah. Good luck with that, no one will bother listening to a commoner. Richard Ironheart was nothing more than a commoner, and the egotistical, and prideful nobles in Atlantis City won't bother to listen to this boy who's also a commoner. Hell, they would probably execute him from badmouthing their government, saying they're working with the 'BlackWing'."]
Mammon nodded her head.
["Yes Henry, I agree… but this boy isn't normal by any means. He doesn't know it, but when we captured him we forced him to swallow a device created from Atlantis City, specifically designed for criminals on house arrest."]
The Old man, Asmodeus, chuckled.
["Hohoho, is it the LTF? They're meant to read the mind of others whenever they enter the victims body, allowing them to see what the criminals are thinking, just in case they plan on escaping from their shackles. The LTF specializes in connecting with the nervous system to read one's mind. You need nerve cells that can detect information about the outside world and can transmit that information to other nerve cells. Cells speak to each other naturally, that's how thinking works, and with the LTF being connected to the nervous system, it can receive that information and relay it back to the CJU."]
CJU was short for Atlantis City's "Criminal Justice Unit". They were a organization meant to stop crime, solve crime, and protect the city from corruption, and illegal actions in the system, or city streets.
["Yes father, you're correct. The young boy, Godfrey, has a LTF inside his body. Anything he thinks, I can read, but I must be in close distance, at least a mile away."] Mammon responded.
["Wait, how did you know that he was the son of Richard Ironheart?"] Asked Alex.
["Well… when he fought against our members before he escaped, he used dark magic… but… it's not any other dark magic, it's the kind that connects to the root of the void that has existed before creation."]
["Y-You mean—"] Patricia muttered.
["Yes Patricia, I mean the dark magic that comes from the spirit of darkness itself."]
Every member of the council stood up from their seats, slamming their hands on the table.
["What? That's impossible! Some kid has the potential to wield such powerful magic? Using it once should've killed him! Why did the spirit of darkness choose him?"] William shouted.
["I don't know, William, but there's no need to worry. Godfrey isn't using this dark magic, because it leads to the resurrection of the spirit of darkness. At least, that's what I read from his mind."]
Henry crossed his arms, in thought.
["Damnit… the BlackWing's entire goal is to rule the world, and resurrect the Spirit of Darkness. That's why we created this cult, to do exactly that! And you're telling me, some commoner child is our only hope in doing this?"] Henry asked.
["Yes. I've been actually trying to make him use the magic more… but to my surprise, he had a deeper magic within him."] Mammon said.
["Huhhh? What do you mean, Mammon?"] Patricia leaned forward, asking in her hyperactive attitude.
["When he was fighting the dragon, he awakened a magic deep within him. It was done from a spell chant, as spell chanting awakens your inner-potential to its maximum, allowing you to use spells at their fullest capability. His magic… it resembled that of Richard Ironheart, that's how I knew that Godfrey was his son."]
Lorthel nodded his head to Mammon's words.
["When the war between humans and demons happened ten years ago, Richard was the strongest commoner on the battlefield… but he was a special case; Atlantis City had hidden his potential, and lied about his level in the system. Naturally a commoner can only cap at level 5… but Richard was a level 8."] Lorthel said.
["Yes, Lorthel, we know this information. Richard was one of Atlantis City's strongest Sorcerer. Everyone at this table is a demon, except Henry. We know what Richard was capable of, as we were the ones who fought against him on the battlefield, so tell me, what are you getting at?"] William asked as he crossed his arms.
["Well, William, this boy, Godfrey, his potential is above even his fathers. Level 5? Comedy, Level 6? A joke. Level 7? He'll surpass even that… maybe even Level 8."]
Henry balled up one of his fists, pointing his finger at Lorthel.
["A lie! A commoner having that much potential is ridiculous! Richard was a one in a million chance, I won't believe that some child will surpass even that of Atlantis City's system! That's impossible, we're the strongest in the world, and one day I'll be the one ruling Atlantis City! Take those words back, you demon!"]
Lorthel glanced at Henry with a side-eye, frowning.
["Watch your mouth, Henry. Set your foolish pride to the side right now, or I'll take the tongue from your mouth."]
["Those are fighting words, Lorthel. Do you wish to fight me, and meet my wrath?"]
Lorthel stood up from his seat, reaching behind his back to grip the handle of his blade.
["Your wrath is equal to that of a toddler having a temper tantrum."]
["WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?"]
Mammon tugged on Lorthel's sleeve, pulling him back down to his seat.
["Calm down, Lorthel."]
Lorthel sighed to himself, falling back down into his seat, and taking his hand off his weapon.
["You got off easy, Henry."] Muttered Lorthel.
["You—!"] Henry frowned aggressively, holding in his anger.
["Well, it looks like we know who the user of Spirit magic is. Normally we BlackWing members can use Dark Magic, but this boy has spirit magic, the source of all dark, and light magic."] Alex said.
["Yes. Long ago, the Multiverse was created by the spirit of light, and the spirit of darkness. They were two concepts that represented good and evil, Godfrey has the very source of Dark magic, from the dark spirit itself. By far, he is the strongest walking mortal on this earth… if he uses the spirit magic that is."] Asmodeus responded.
["Well then, it looks like we need to come up with a plan to get him to use this spirit magic, don't you all agree?"] Patricia asked.
Everyone nodded.
["The resurrection of The Dark Spirit, awaits!"] They all shouted.
