Gus goes on normally during the night working at his tavern doing the usual rounds of serving the patrons in his place where the number is about 3. One is the regular old drunk that comes in drinking most of the night till leaving in a toxic state or passes out sleeping on the tavern floor until able to get up and move those legs out the door.
The two others were unfriendly-looking males, the normal thug types that from time to time come to Gus's place. They were discussing Rusz and his group not being active for the whole day that has gone to pass. It was something to catch those in these parts interested.
It wasn't the only group of thugs to roam around this part of town, there are a few and they fight for power of control creating bloody battles among each other including the poor bystanders who have to suffer along the way.
