At the moment, Xalroz was still inside Gus's travel using the room where customers mad enough to stay over the night can have their time to up one's flesh of the body.
He certainly needed it after the killings his own hands had done that day in Gus's tavern. Removing the blood from the body needs to be done with the rag in hand already stained by some of the blood taken off.
