As they jumped down into the ankle-deep slimy swamp water, Mikhail was almost glad that he had been forced into wearing boots. Heaven knows he would've abhorred the awful sensation on his feet.
"...I reckon we've found a Sanctum, wouldn't you?"
"I mean… What else could this be?" Azalea asked as the two of them stared at the structure before them.
An immense structure.
It was a pale-yellow stone trapezoid prism, caked in some kind of moss all over the two visible faces, along with many vines snaking about the structure. The most striking feature visible was a tree's roots draped over the corner they were facing, the roots running downwards before sticking upwards again at random.
Mikhail's gaze went upwards, and he saw that atop the huge stone foundation, a smaller trapezoid prism could be seen.
There seemed to be carvings all along the smaller structure, probably inscriptions of some kind.
