It had happened incredibly fast.
So incredibly fast that Mikhail barely registered it.
First, the wall that Smog had flown over was blasted apart.
Second, the humans hovering in the air were sent flying towards the silvery barrier.
And third, the land beyond the translucent barrier was shrouded by an intense sandstorm.
At that point, Mikhail only saw how several spots across the barrier were slammed into by random debris, sending ripples throughout the translucent wall. And how the humans from before harmlessly passed through.
Mikhail immediately noticed when Atticus was flung through the barrier, and his gaze followed that tumbling figure until he seemingly caught himself midair in a sort of upside-down crouch position.
The entire area was enshrouded by the sandstorm, but things changed shortly after the last human flew through the barrier.
