Mikhail's figure appeared in the shade of the alleyway.
He had just turned the corner and was about to walk back to his tent… But his tent was no longer there.
No… There was a much bigger tent where his tent should've been.
"The fuck?"
He continued his shamble forward, using the wall of the building to his left as a support. And eventually, he reached the point where the paved path began turning into untamed savannah.
"HEY!"
Mikhail was mildly surprised by the sudden shout coming from above, and was quick to turn his attention to the familiar voice's source.
"Ah… Fancy seeing you guys here."
Not only was Tybalt there, but so was the rest of that guy's crew. They were all peeking their heads over the edge of the building's roof. Tybalt and his other three friends had wide grins on their faces.
"Look who's got the gall! We've been waiting hours to see your ugly mug!" Mercutio said.
"Yeah, what in the heavens have you been up to?!" Romeo said with exasperation.
"...Training."
They all looked at him incredulously.
"Oh yeah? With who?!" Benvolio asked with his lips pursed together.
"Ah, you know… Uh… Shit, I don't think I've ever gotten her name… You know the healer lady? That's who I was training with!"
"Healing lady?" the other three asked
Tybalt went wide eyed when he heard that though.
"Alaya?! You were training with Alaya Stallard?!"
Tybalt's shock turned into bewilderment, and the other three's attention snapped to him. Before snapping back to Mikhail.
"Why would you willingly train with that monster?!" Romeo asked.
Mikhail looked at their bewildered faces with a bit of amusement.
"She's not so bad, you pussies."
They all looked at each other before shaking their heads in fear. "Yeah, whatever you say, you crazy Scourgeborn," Benvolio said before shaking his head again.
"SO! Guys… What happened to my tent?" Mikhail asked with a raised eyebrow, gesturing to where his small little accommodation used to be.
"Ah, yes! You see, I felt rather bad about your crummy accommodations, so I got my buddies here to help me scrounge up enough bartering power to get you an upgrade!"
Mikhail eyed him curiously before turning his attention to the other three.
Benvolio looked a little annoyed when that got brought up, Romeo looked just as happy as Tybalt to help, while Mercutio seemed rather neutral about it.
"That's… Really sweet of you guys. Thank you." Mikhail's face brightened considerably, and he even felt a tinge of legitimate happiness when he looked back over to the new tent.
And as he looked away, the group jumped down.
"I can imagine how tired you are, so let me help you out and give you a quick tour of your new tent!"
Mikhail nodded, and Tybalt got under his arm and began walking over to the tent. Meanwhile, the other three basically ran over there, waiting for the other two to catch up. They were excited to see what he thought.
During the jaunt across the savannah, Mikhail scanned the new tent.
It was similar in size to the large shared tent he had been in with the orcs.
But the difference was that it was like two tents had been put together. Rather than just being one large tent, it was one large tent and a small one put together.
The smaller of the two was a cube tent with a pyramid top, which extruded from the front face of the large rectangular tent with a rounded top.
It was way bigger than necessary in his opinion, but he wasn't one to turn down the extra space. Additionally, it looked quite nice with the large red patterns that seemed to have been sewn into it with great care.
And thankfully, no one's visage was sewn into any part of the tent this time.
The group pushed the entrance curtain to the side and stepped inside after Mikhail and Tybalt.
The ground was covered by a thick white cloth inside the smaller tent.
There was a new rug at the center of that entrance tent, primarily red in color while being accented in sparkling silver threads.
Additionally, he now had a calendar hanging from the wooden support beam in the left corner closest to the curtain entrance, hanging off a matte white hook.
"Haven't done this in a while," he absentmindedly said while taking off his caligae and putting them on the floor. Under his new calendar. And without Tybalt's help, either.
And now that his bare feet were on the cloth, he could really appreciate just how well made it was. The cloth was incredibly soft, almost like the hard ground underneath wasn't even there.
He then walked into the larger tent, pushing aside another cloth curtain as the group followed.
It was… barren.
All of Mikhail's stuff was here.
Yet it was all designated to the far right corner on the opposite end of the tent. The tent felt uncomfortably large with all the empty space. So much so that instead of sleeping in that corner, he decided then and there to sleep in the entrance tent for tonight.
"So, what do you think?" Romeo said with a cheery smile.
Mikhail looked at him and smirked.
"It's fantastic. I really can't thank the four of you enough," he said, exhaustion seeping into his voice.
"You don't sound too appreciative," Benvolio said with a dismissive snort.
"Give me a break, dude. I just spent the entire day training… Forgive me if I sound a little out of energy."
"...Hmph."
Benvolio turned his head away, though Mikhail could see how the side of his mouth curved upwards.
'What a… What did those nerds call them? Sun… Soon… Soon dare-a? That doesn't feel right… It's on the tip of my tongue… Ah, whatever.'
Mikhail shook his head while dropping that train of thought.
"We understand," Romeo said while patting Mikhail on the back, sending a wave of pain throughout his body.
"Ow… Alright, I really need to sleep. Thanks again, though. I'll be sure to take good care of my new living quarters."
The group gave their farewells at that point and left, leaving him alone to his own devices.
So, the first thing Mikhail did was grab his sleeping mat out of the corner and bring it to the entrance tent.
And after tying up the entrance, laid down and closed his eyes.
And then an instant later, he opened his eyes.
He could hear the Anzus outside, and his body felt sore all over. A vast improvement from the pain he had been in prior.
'Ah, yes. Time travel sleep. My favorite,' he thought while slowly getting up.
