Having not noticed the new group of allies, the pilot of the steampunk mech immediately continued its assault. In the face of such overwhelming technological genius, even a fraction of an instant was too long a time to be distracted.
With a loud whirr, the other arm of the mech shot forward, the barrel of its magical cannon releasing the intense orange light of flames.
BOOM!
BANG!
A ball of flaming molten rock shot out of the cannon at blistering speeds, slamming into the neck of the mechanical dragon and throwing it back just barely far enough for its other claw to swing harmlessly in front of the mech.
The man in the mech grit his teeth.
His comrades had died!
