After a few hours, the crew eventually found their way forward.
They needed to climb the tree and enter a tree hollow that was on the other side of the tree. From the looks of things, the other group of fellow humans had already found the way up and had gone on in.
"Well, we might as well get going ourselves. Are you sure you're up for this right now, Mikhail? We can wait for you to get some proper rest," Lirim asked after turning away from the tree.
"I'll be fine, damn it. Let's just go," Mikhail replied.
And thus, the crew scaled the side of the tree. They rapidly climbed up a great many vines, and jumped as high as they could whenever they reached a branch. And in only an hour, they found themselves in the tree hollow that they had spotted.
Inside, they found themselves in a cavern with bark for walls.
Runes on the ceiling lit the space up in a soft, almost torch-like kind of light.
