As the campfire continued to burn brightly, the group shared stories of Amir and of his escapades.
"And what does this lovely bastard say? Can you believe it?"
And in a mocking tone, Lily quoted Amir saying, "What do I care about seeing your dirty old fanny?"
The group laughed hysterically, remembering how the tribe's resident pervert had once tried to get some one-on-one time with Amir under the guise of learning how to make clay clocks. She was the same lady who had once tried to lure Mikhail into an alleyway early in the morning.
Stories like that and more were shared over the course of a few hours. But, eventually, the group laid down to rest as well.
They spread out around the campfire, close enough to feel it's comforting warmth, but distant enough for the crackling of the wood to suppress the noise of distant whispers.
