The blotches of pure azure water quickly began flowing back to the Water Elemental's core as a sparkling blood red mist poured out of the crack going along the crystalline core's surface.
They took on the form of what looked to be the tentacles of an octopus — or some other similar cephalopod — as they reached towards the core.
They were menacingly large. Titanic in scale. Each tentacle far bigger than the initial form the Water Elemental had presented itself with.
It was a humbling sight. An eerie and unsettling sight. A strangely beautiful sight.
Where did all that Water Aether come from? Had the Water Element's previous form really been that dense?
Or was it drawing that Water Aether from the dark pool surrounding them?
Mikhail's thoughts rushed with unparalleled intrigue.
And then, just as the first few tentacles began tethering themselves to the core…
