The spear pierced deep into the icy core of the elemental, reaching the incredibly dense center of that crystalline core.
And then the force propelling the spear traveled through the entirety of its structure. From the butt of the rock spear, through the shaft, all of it, before reaching the spear's tip.
And when that happened… The core and the spear exploded into a mix of icy and rocky shrapnel that punched through several stalactites and stalagmites; and Sharyl's shoulder; and Mikhail's left knee.
"FUCK!"
Mikhail yelled angrily as he toppled forward, falling straight onto his face. Sharyl also shared those sentiments, letting out a guttural roar to vent his frustrations too. The two subsequently gave into their exhaustion.
They opted to lay on the ground as the echo of the impact continued to reverberate within the cavern. Which Mikhail wasn't even aware of, since his eardrums were still completely ruptured from the sonic boom.
