Chapter 41 - Technical Manuals

I got to looking and shopping for armor. Armor was the most necessary thing that I needed in the near future. I needed two things Strength to carry things like Traps and more weapons. I knew that I would need to carry at least more equipment in the future, and the only way I could do that was with a backpack or deeper pockets.

The second wasn't as viable, but with a harness and tactical rig; I could carry a lot but limit my agility. That was the other main thing I would need is something that would allow me to continue to move fast. That was why a Backpack would be more useful than a larger tactical rig. I could dump a backpack and run away. I could also use the backpack as a trap in itself, and booby trap it.

My imagination with the rig that I could set up was just much more flexible with a light armor that allowed me to move with speed and strength to move and place things quickly without being detected. The other way I could go is with medium or heavy armor making myself into a more fortress setup, but I hated the lack of my own ability to move.

I thrived in the pro scene as someone who thought on their feet and would continue down that route instead of becoming stubborn. The problem was looking at these armors; there was nothing that explicitly gave stats. I read a description and could get the general feel, but not exactly what it did.

That sounded like something I might want, but I didn't want something explicitly down the Scouting route. Sure, I was generally working in the same category as the Scouting series with my Sniper rifle, but I think my assault rifle and shotgun put me in other categories. If I was willing to dump my other weapons and just use a sniper and pistol with traps, then I think this might be the best. But that wasn't the route that I was planning on.

T0967 Pro Tech Light Armor Series.

A lightweight armor from the Pro Tech Manufacturing Company. The Pro Tech Series Company has a long-standing with the armor of various militaries and excels in armor without being too weighed down.

WHAT THE FUCK DID THIS MEAN!

I didn't know what the armor did or what it specialized in, and it did not help my case as I tossed my tablet on the workstation with frustration. Shopping for this without going in person seemed to be a stupid choice at the end of the day, and I sighed in frustration.

For now, I would be more helpful in thinking of the ideal I wanted. A Tactical rig that focused more around my upper body and maybe even using my breasts would be for the best. Something that could hold everything above the waist with some things of utility on the belt. Not much being on the outside legs would be good as well, like backup ammunition. My legs were my ability to move in and out of situations.

Running as a trapper was one of the most useful things. If you left or made them think that anything could be trapped and could kill them, they could not chase after you. That was a huge plus for keeping my mobility. Not only that but getting traps into position and finding a position to retreat to were important.

No Mobility wasn't something I was going to compromise on. So Legs must stay mobile at all costs. Strength for bringing things into the battle was another thing; I could carry things already. But I also needed some protection from stray bullets or low-caliber bullets. Even a small shield generator would go a long way to keep me alive on the battlefield.

My mind was racing, but I stood up and decided that I wasn't achieving anything in the end. I was just fantasizing, and that wasn't getting me anywhere. For now, I would spend more time practicing my skills so that I can do a better job with these tools I use in the future or to punish Nyava. My mind gravitated to the second, and I smiled as I got up. I decided to check what Nyava was truly into.

If Nyava were a pain slut then I would treat her the best that she has ever been treated. The pleasure is one hundred percent of the way. I didn't know what I would do if she genuinely enjoyed both. I could make her jealous using Ura, and that would be fun in its own right, but Emily might feel awkward.

Although a Succubus, even if she is only Half Succubus being odd around sex sounded weird even in my head. Still, Prudes were prudes, and I grew up with my mother and father, who were prudish about my sexual behavior when I was younger. Then again, I wasn't exactly discreet about my sexuality and my Futanari Nature.

I shook my head, moved through the ship, and quickly found Nyava sleeping in the medical bay. She seemed to take the Medical bay as a much better place to sleep instead of the crew quarters. There were only a couple of beds in here, and I found that irresponsible. Something told me, though, that it was much more about her ability to stay around the medical bay itself.

Again, I had to shake my head as I looked into things too much. No, what I needed to be thinking about was her punishment. How could I do it, and what tools did I have available? Inside this starship, I had no toys or anything to inflict pain properly if I wanted to punish her, and I did not have anything to induce pleasure over a long period of time. So I would be left with my hand and my body to inflict pleasure and pain. Instantly with those thoughts, I decided the only thing I could inflict on her was emotional pain or pleasure. That precluded doing anything for now, so I started to turn away.

"Are you going to do anything to me, Nyah?" I heard a voice from behind me.

"Nope," I replied, unsurprised as I turned back to see Nyava looking at me.

"You were watching me for a bit," Nyava commented, "Thinking of fun ways of punishing me?" She asked with her voice turning lustful.

"Yes, I was," I told her, then I grinned, stepping towards her, and I could see the anticipation. "But not today, Nyava. Do something useful first; maybe you can get what you want." I told her as I suddenly stopped a foot away from her. "I think I have a punishment for you ready. But not today; I think you will hate it with every fiber of your being," I said with a large grin.

I could see Nyava shudder in anticipation as she looked at me. "I look forward to it," Nyava said. "Now that being all said, when are we going to hit planetside?" She asked, "I have no supplies or equipment to start some potions and synthesize anything. I could not even do a small antidote or antibacterial pill. When can I get some supplies?" Nyava turned more business minded.

"Ask Ura, She is the captain, and I am the muscle," I told her flatly, "You can study some texts if you want and ask Ura about some costs for anatomy. Enjoy!" I said, departing as she looked ready to continue.

I walked back into my cabin and closed the door. Instead, I went to work learning more about my tools and practicing them. There was so much to learn, and I wondered if I would ever be able to customize some armor. I took my time, and soon bits of metal were being wielded together, and I wondered how I would structure my traps in the future. Something told me to go down the route of explosives.

Explosives were an easy route in competitions, and I could already picture Bouncing betties and Claymores. The problem with all traps, though, was the triggers, and that was where I started to get curious. Traps were inherently friendly fire problems. If this game was structured with a hardcore realism factor, then it was just as able to kill a teammate then it was to kill an enemy. The only difference was that I would be able to notify my allies beforehand, while my enemies would not potentially have that information.

There were more problems too. What could armor sensors detect, and how much damage could conventional traps do? I found myself wishing for a research lab with a variety of equipment and explosives to test with. Grenades would become an easy friend with high versatility. My mind traveled back to my assault rifle and the Grenade launcher, and I couldn't help but think a dedicated Grenade launcher would be useful as well. Something that could at least hold six grenades would be extremely helpful in a defensive situation.

My mind raced with different things as I messed up another wield. I was either taking too long, too short of a time, or too much material. It was those three things, and I found myself frowning as I continued to mess up more spare parts. Before I tossed it all, I moved on to drilling, or I believed the term was boring, and found myself doing it well.

Well, how hard was it to make a damn hole?

I put down my tools after a bit, and I started to notice a problem I was having practicing my skill sets. I didn't know what was more important than other things. I was almost tempted to take on some debt in real life to learn some precision machining skills. The problem with that was that the tools would be larger and not what was in-game.

Instead, I pulled out my tablet and started to surf the galactic web. Something here had to teach me some tools, and I looked up manuals and smiled brightly. I quickly purchased a book that I found for only five hundred Credits.

You have purchased the Online Technical Manual Beginning of Precision Machining.

This is a book that goes over the basics and the terms you will need to learn in precision machining.

I quickly found another book and smiled as I purchased that for another five hundred Credits.

You have purchased the Online Technical Manual, Beginning Guide to Gun Manufacturing.

This is an introductory book for manually manufactured Guns.

I instantly started to get to work, and I found myself quickly learning that I had been way in over my head. This was just starting to build a general base of knowledge in crafting, and I felt a small thrill. The crafting system in this game was borderline insane and interesting. The freedom was lifelike, and I wanted to learn more.

I quickly put my nose to the tablet and began to learn the definitions and the things I needed to learn. I quickly learned what happened with the Junk shotgun and why it would bust if it was shot. The game helped a lot with these things, and I found myself thinking about how to do things that I never thought of before.

Maybe some more technical manuals were coming my way.

Thought of Punishing Nyava disappeared into the back of my head, and my mind entered a new world of gun manufacturing. I couldn't help but realize how much I already loved the subject. The definitions were a little boring, but the general information wasn't.
