As Klein sat in his class alone. Klein couldn't help but reminisce about his childhood.
Growing up, Klein had always been the odd one out. He didn't fit in with the other kids, and he struggled to make friends. It wasn't that he was shy or awkward; he just didn't enjoy the same things they did.
While they played sports and hung out at the mall, Klein spent most of his time playing video games alone. Because of this, he barely had any friends in his childhood.
It wasn't until high school that Klein found a group of friends who shared his love of gaming. They would spend hours playing together and joking around.
But even then, Klein always felt like he was on the outside looking in. He and his friends were close, but his friends never truly understood him.
They didn't know about the hours he spent alone, practicing his skills in games, or the dreams he had of becoming a top player, all of that would always be taken as a joke by his friends.
Since then, he had lost all faith in his friends then started playing solo in every MMORPG he played. He didn't want to rely on anyone else, and he didn't want anyone else to hold him back.
Klein began to enjoy playing solo since then. He felt that all of his achievements felt even more rewarding when he accomplished them as a solo player.
However, as he progressed through the game, he faced more and more challenges that he couldn't overcome alone.
Despite his best efforts, Klein found himself falling behind by the other players who had their guild's support. He realized that he couldn't achieve his goals without help from others, but he was too stubborn to admit it.
When Martial Evolution came out, Klein saw it as his chance to prove himself. He was determined to become one of the top players in the game, and he knew he could do it on his own.
However, even after sacrificing everything he had over the years, he hadn't managed to become one of the strongest.
Although his talent was above that of the avarage player, he still lacked the support and resources that players in large guilds had, and he struggled to keep up with them.
*Sigh*
Few hours later…
Klein returned to his dorm, exhausted from the long day of classes. He wanted to log in to the game immediately, since it had been almost 6 hours since he last logged in. However, before he did that, he decided to take a quick look at the Martial Evolution Forum.
Martial Evolution Forum is the official website of Martial Evolution where players post everything related to the game. This forum is very popular because it can also be opened in the game.
[Liam: I can't believe how cool the game is! I spent hours exploring the forests and fighting off beasts!]
[Chloe: I'm still struggling to catch a Beast for my mission. Any tips?]
[Liam: Join a guild or find a hunting partner. It's always better to have someone watching your back.]
[Nina: Try to look for beasts that are slightly lower level than you. It's easier to catch them that way.]
[Samantha: I chose Camel as my Martial Beast, is that good?]
[Max: It's not the best, but it's a decent choice. I went with the Mountain Moose, and it's been amazing for survive in the snowy regions.]
He scrolled through the posts and saw that many players were actively discussing their game experiences in the game for the past few hours after its launch.
As Klein browsed through the Martial Evolution Forum. He quickly logged in with his account and change his username as 'Hermes'.
In the next moment, he posted several pictures of the early dungeon located near every starter village in the game. He added a caption to the post, "Coordinates available. Name your price."
Klein knew the post might be hard to believe since the game had only been released a few hours, yet, someone already knew many dungeon locations.
However, since he had taken those pictures from the game drone map when he logged in earlier, the system wouldn't recognize them as scam, because they were valid.
Even though what he did was a reckless move, he needed to have a large amount of money if he didn't want to be short on resources like in his previous life. Also, in order to stand firmly in a world like this, he needed to broaden his connections. For Klein, this move was like hitting two birds with one stone.
He waited for a response, and soon enough, just as he expected, his inbox was flooded with messages from players all around the world.
Klein could see the Powerhouses and Hegemonies in his previous life were willing to stake all they had just to obtain any information related to the coordinates of the Early Dungeon from their messages.
Every Powerhouses and Hegemonies wanted to make a name for themselves and gain fame by being the first to clear each dungeon. And for that, they were willing to pay any price for any information related to the early dungeons.
Klein scrolled through the messages, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation. He recognized some of the usernames as players from several big Guilds he knew from his previous life.
Klein sorted through the messages and started replying to the most promising offers. He negotiated the price with each interested player, ensuring he was getting the most out of his venture.
However, what shocked him the most was a sudden message from a username 'Aviana'.
[Aviana: I'm interested in purchasing all of the coordinates you have by doubling the highest price of each dungeon.]
Klein's eyes widened as he read the message again. He recognized the username from his previous life. Aviana was the guild leader of the strongest guild, the Sovereign Phoenix.
She was also known as the only player who had managed to evolve her Martial Beast into a Mythical Grade Golden Roc.
Klein hesitated for a moment before replying:
[Hermes: I'm sorry, I cannot sell all the coordinates to one person. It wouldn't be fair to others who are also interested.]
Aviana replied almost instantly:
[Aviana: I understand. How much would you be willing to sell the dungeon near the Kethyr Village?]
[Hermes: The highest price for the coordinate is 10,000 Auricoin.]
Klein choose Auricoin as the currency, since it would be mainly used on earth in the future, after several months of the appearance of Wormholes.
A few moments passed before Aviana replied:
[Aviana: I'll pay 20,000 Auricoin for the coordinate.]
Klein was taken aback by the response. He had never expected someone to be willing to pay that much for the coordinate. He quickly replied:
[Hermes: Deal. The coordinates would be automatically sent to you after the payment]
Soon, Aviana sent him a message:
[Aviana: I hope that we can continue to do business in the future.]
Klein felt joy upon receiving the message, and replied:
[Hermes: My pleasure]
…
*Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding*
Soon, numerous notifications appeared as it mention that Klein's account had just received a total 300,000 Auricoin.
`Three hundred thousand Auricoin!!`
Klein was immediately shocked when he realized that he had become rich in just one day.
"With this amount of money, it should be enough to buy it" Klein said as he nodded his head.
Then, Klein entered his game cabin and logged into the game. As he opened his eyes in the game, he could see that he was still in the inn room. But this time there is a double exp buff icon on the top left of the Character Info.
"Let's start the hunting!" Klein said excitedly.
