When Sydney suddenly bent forward to remove the little piece of cake stuck at the end of Arthur's lip, she had absolutely nothing else in mind but to do that only.
However, it seemed like Arthur might have had a little misunderstanding, due to the way he frighteningly drew away from her swiftly, thinking the other way around.
He thought she was about to kiss him, it's literally what anyone in his situation would have thought too, except for the fact she then made it clear to him that he had cake on his lip, and she just wanted to remove it.
It was as embarrassing as f**k when she told him that, so to make it feel less embarrassing, he forced out a chuckle and pretended to be cool with it.
