The crutches were enough help to her, she didn't want to be a burden to anyone because of her hurt foot. She can still do things on her own. She refuses to be treated as if she's kind of useless now.
"Okay, if you insist" Sydney let her go as she wanted. She held her and was guiding her toward the couch so she wouldn't fall, However, Ellie didn't want her help. She has actually been acting this way since they got back from the hospital.
