Sydney has kept staring and watching Ellie all day nonstop like a criminal supposed to be under strict supervision. She has been watching the girl's every move and step ever since they arrived at the shop in the morning.
She knows that Ellie must have known by now that she has been keeping watch on her for a while. However, the girl chose to ignore her completely like she wasn't aware of anything.
She still hasn't uttered a single word to her since last night even when they got to the shop. The only reason she spoke to her last night was because she caught her talking to herself and that wasn't normal.
It's actually a good thing that she wasn't around when Arthur came knocking on the door. Sydney wouldn't have liked it if Ellie had witnessed her act like she did, when her hands unintentionally grabbed Arthur's, and she began to act like a teen, who suddenly got asked out by her crush out of the blue when she tried taking the plate from him.
