A problem was something that caused difficulty and hardship, and that has been Xadia's routine since he awoke from his deep slumber.
He had been going from problem to problem, first was his encounter with the gang, and next was the bloodlust from his new roommate, leading up to his latest interference with Roland's task.
He had sought to blame it on the evolution and advancement of the world, but that was not enough to clarify his constant state of jumping into trouble, it was as if he was hexed or jinxed in some ways. And hearing the words that just came out of Ivy's mouth, he was wondering what problem had found his way now.
"What?" Xadia said moving to Ivy's side by the open space at the back edge of the room, a meter away from the construction table.
"It's Tyson he's not waking up".
"Is he breathing?" Xadia asked in a panicked voice.
"Yes, but he's completely out of it". Ivy replied Xadia calming him down a little.
"After you left, I did a healing spell and healed him of his wounds, but when I tried to wake him up he wasn't responding, I even tried pouring my energy into him but there was no reaction".
"What do you think is wrong with him, he should be awake by now," Xadia said checking for Tyson's pulse.
"I think he's in a coma, but not like a coma, he's in limbo".
"limbo". Xadia internally thought
Seeing the face that Xadia pulled, Ivy proceeded to explain."It's like a state where his body is awake, but his mind isn't, and he's slowly drifting away".
"It's like an imaginary state of his mind's manifestation, the manifestation could be any place, the academy, his home, the city, anywhere that he cherishes that is very familiar to him".
"And there's no spell to bring him back," Xadia asked knowing that there was bound to be a spell.
In a new age where mages/spellcasters and superhumans existed, nothing was impossible, and there wasn't a doubt in Xadia's mind of a solution or solution to the problem.
"There's a spell, and I'll be the one to do most of the work, it's a spell that will take us to his subconsciousness, that's where he's sure to be". Ivy replied.
Although Ivy said she was sure of what she just said, there was a slight doubt in her mind, there was no other choice and she didn't want to go straight to Tyson's limbo.
Being an emitter siphon and all, she was very familiar with the inductions of emotions, all emitters and passives where all their emotions heightened to the peak after siphonization.
There were a lot of emotions a limbo manifestation could channel, and she knew whatever limbo manifestation Tyson was in would be related to anger hate, and rejection.
All traits of an unhinged person, it was better to go straight to the source of limbo manifestations, and that was Tyson's subconscious mind.
"Can't we just take him to the infirmary"? Xadia asked.
"I doubt they have the facilities to bring him back, it's not a psyche ward, they only treat physical injuries, and he's running out of time. Ivy replied
There was hesitation in Xadia, and it was somewhat expected of him, he hadn't done this before and there was a chance it wouldn't work. And a thought of a certain movie he had seen in the past was the reason for his hesitation.
"Do we have everything we need"?
"Yes". Taking a deep breath, Xadia finally made up his mind." let's do it ".
Ivy then brought out a spell book from her dimensional bag, and flipping through the pages she soon stopped at a page with strange drawings on them, she then began to draw out on the floor.
Finishing the drawings, she soon moved to Xadia and drew a rune over his forehead, and also drew the same thing on her head, she then sat in a lotus position.
Gesturing at Xadia, he then did the same thing, and soon got into the same position beside her. She then held onto Tyson's right hand, and with her left hand, she held onto Xadia's hand as well.
"Spiritus etsi nemphora subtra et sura," Ivy said siphoning a spell, her eyes were now glowing blue, and soon the runes on their foreheads began to shine a bright white and so were the drawings on the floor.
A blinding light then illuminated the room, transporting their minds into a new consciousness.
___ ___
Slowly opening his eyes, and abruptly scanning through the scenery, Xadia's fears were confirmed.
The sky was dark purple, and there were purple lightning strikes that were dancing through the clouds. The whole scenery was themed dark purple, and there were also strange-looking plants that were spread through the purple environment.
"Oh no"
"Where are we, is this Tyson's subconsciousness?" Xadia couldn't help but ask at Ivy's worrying words.
"This isn't Tyson's subconsciousness,..... it's his siphon familiar's own".
And there it was, the same thing that happened in the movie he had watched, although not exactly what happened, it was still very related.
"I thought you said we were going to his subconsciousness".
"I did, I didn't know his familiar was powerful enough to affect my spell".
"His familiar is an amoeba, it's parasitic, you didn't think about that". Xadia said putting both his arms on his head.
An incredible aura had stopped the argument, making them get into a fighting stance. "Don't get hurt in here, it'll affect our consciousness". Ivy warned.
Soon after a purple mist started to envelop the area, wafting the air as an intimidating blood lust could be felt.
Ivy could feel an invincible force come below her, she was soon lifted from the ground before being chucked into the purple fog, her hand losing grip on her staff.
"Xadia!!!". Ivy screamed as the purple fog consumed her.
___ ___
A rift in the air soon opened and out of the rift, came Ivy dropping to the ground.
Standing up from the ground, Ivy then began to scan the area, it didn't take up to a minute that Ivy had recognized the scenery, and it wasn't a place of good memories.
