I was shocked but not by the proclamation of his first human wife. Did he just say he had a child with her? So where was the child? If he already had a half-breed child, why then was I pressurized to have a child with Dav?
Dav looked at me like what he had just said shouldn't be a shock to me but it was.
"You had a ch… child?"
"Yes wife, I did." He casually said as he took me further into the living room.
"What happened to the child, why haven't I seen the child?" I asked, knowing fully well that the child would be older than me, considering Dav's age.
The moment those words left his mouth, Dav halted in his tracks and the next second he let out a strange sound. It was then that I realized that I must have asked what was not supposed to be asked.
"He is gone. He died at an early age."
