8:30 AM
Caesar was now prepared to continue his trek in the direction of the elf tribe after receiving some instruction in both swords and psychokinesis. According to the dragon, the major objectives of this expedition were survival and environment adaption.
Caesar kept on traveling. He was shocked to notice that he was running into an increasing number of creatures and critters. Caesar was frustrated, after a five-hour arduous trek in which he avoided numerous never-before-seen beasts. He also tried to avoid running into any man-eating beasts by altering his course, but this made his journey slightly longer. He also occasionally had to stand still for a number of minutes while waiting for a beast to go without noticing him.
He was really frustrated by this circumstance. He took the daring choice to fight every beast he came across out of frustration.
Just like that, a brown boar with horns was standing a short distance from Caesar after some time. Caesar saw it and began planning for an ambush. He picked up a stone and flung it in the other direction while waiting behind a tree.
When the boar heard the disturbance, it rapidly turned it's head in that direction. Unbeknownst to the beast, a dagger shot right at his rear legs, striking his joints. A wound appeared, and blood began to flow from it. The hog quickly turned around only to discover a human half his size.
When the boar spotted Caesar, his nose flared and he charged directly towards Caesar, seeking to stab Caesar with his horn. The damaged leg made it challenging for him to sprint, but the boar continued to go forward.
Boar's horn and Caesar's sword collided, and as a result of the great amount of energy, Caesar retreated ten paces while the boar stayed standing and was not at all moved by Caesar's might.
Caesar had already decided how he would destroy the boar in just his fight. Boars were much stronger than wolves but less agile and dexterous. Both the boar and Caesar started a game of cat and mice, the boar would charge at him while Caesar would dodge and slash his sword, his flawless assault could only produce a small incision in the boar's strong skin despite all the work.
The boar continues to attack Caesar after being hurt, but Caesar just avoids and slashes his sword. This cat and mouse game went on for a very long time. The body of the hog was completely covered with shallow incisions.
The boar eventually tried to flee after seeing there was no hope of winning, but Caesar persisted and pursued the animal. After a while the boar passed away from extensive bleeding.
Caesar discovered that, aside from stamina, he was lacking in nearly everything after going through the fights from today and yesterday. He wasn't as strong as a boar and wasn't as agile as a wolf. He was unable to properly regulate his mana, making casting spells impossible.
Caesar sat down after taking a mouthful of water; he was fatigued but not completely exhausted.
Lenora emerged from the shadows and gave him potion. After taking the potion, Lenora immediately gave Caesar an explanation on the anatomy of the boar, its vital areas, and how to kill it in a quick but efficient manner.
After some time.
Lenora thought it was time for Caesar to learn a new skill.
Lenora began by demonstrating how to use the mind power skill which Caesar already possessed.
Three abilities make up mind power skill, starting with psychokinesis second detection and third telepathy.Today the dragon was going to teach him how use detection.
In order to acquire a clean 360° vision, a person in detection spreads his metal strength across his body. He could look around even while his eyes were closed. It is employed during combat to ensure that the individual is not attacked from his blind spot. If one's mental power is powerful then it can also be employed for reconnaissance, spotting hidden enemies
Caesar was seated with his legs crossed. He is currently unable to see, hear, smell, or even touch anything because of Lenora's magic.
His objective for the day was to approach Lenora, who was 5 metres away, using detection.
His mental strength has significantly increased as a result of consistent psychokinesis training. He needed 30 minutes to become aware of his surroundings. The majority of his success was due to all his senses being blocked which was the cause of most of it. Caesar has a one-meter detection radius right now.
Standing up, Caesar chose a path and walked in 5 metres, unable to detect Lenora, he turned around and walked back to his starting point and choose another path and walked 5 metres. Lenora was ultimately located by Caesar after 19 failed attempts to find her.
Caesar began his trek after a little period of relaxation.
TWO AND A HALF WEEKS LATER.
More than 15 days have passed since Caesar set out on his adventure, and he was now heading northeast towards the elf tribe. For Caesar, it was like hell. There was no nearby stream for him to wash himself. He had to remain unclean, and completely covered in sweat, blood, and grime due to his trip route. Due to constant travel, much of his clothing was saturated with dirt, sweat, and blood. His injuries from the previous two weeks of fighting were causing continual anguish throughout his body.
Caesar's knowledge and experience base has significantly expanded. He is able to recognise the majority of trees, plants, and herbs and determine whether or not they are toxic. He discovered the habitats of several beasts and reptiles. He also picked how how to build simple traps.
He had most advanced in his swordsmanship and combat abilities. He came across a variety of creatures, including man-eating plants, subterranean moles, fierce beasts, crafty snakes, and fierce animals, but thankfully he didn't lose any of his limbs and suffer big injury in the process.
Caesar was now battling a pack of six wolves. He had been irresponsible and alerted the wolves to his presence.
Caesar's eyes had become sharper, and his posture had improved significantly. He was clutching a sword in his hand and had a dagger hanging from his belt.
Caesar had to be careful to avoid being encircled by wolves or the battle would become even more lethal.
As the first wolf came running, Caesar braced himself, soon claw and sword clashed, The second wolf soon sprang over the first one and attempted to bite Caesar, but Caesar just sidestepped and kicked the second wolf. While the first wolf was already attacking, the third wolf arrived from the right side and tried to bite Caesar. Caesar just retreated and, using a reverse grip on his sword, pierced the third wolf's head from above killing him.
The first wolf's eyes were the target as the blade glided and sailed through the air. The blade quickly lodged itself in the first wolf's right eye. It moaned and backed away. The first wolf was replaced by the fourth and fifth wolves.
Caesar defended himself against the sixth wolf as the second and fourth wolves both attempted to attack him at the same time.
The wolf attacked once more, but Caesar retaliated, inflicting small wounds on the second and fourth wolves' bodies. The first one leaped in an attempt to get retribution for his lost eye, but using psychokinesis, the dagger was pointed towards the first wolf's neck and, as intended, the first wolf's neck was stabbed by a flying dagger as Caesar defended against the second and fourth.
Due to injuries, the second wolf soon withdrew, and the sixth wolf took his position. Due to superficial but multiple wounds, the first wolf was gradually dying while the second was almost out of the fight.
Caesar keep the balance between defending, counterattacking, and evading them on both sides. Caesar was in a dominant position, battling two wolves simultaneously, and everytime the sixth wolf tried to attack him, he flew his dagger, aiming for vitals and deflecting the sixth wolf attack. The combat was at a standstill.
The first and second wolves soon died from serious blood loss.
The confidence of a remaining wolf decreased upon seeing his companion's death. Caesar began vigorously battling the wolf; as his attack speed grew, more and more wounds were produced on the wolf's body until, at last, Caesar fatally stabbed the fourth wolf in the neck with his sword, leaving the fifth and sixth to flee.
After plopping, Caesar commented, "Ha! That was tiring."
Lenora, as usual, appeared out of nowhere. "That was nearly perfect. You performed extremely well—no additional motions, no energy was wasted, and no scratches on yourself,"Lenora said.
"Good, now that we've arrived at our destination, it's time for me to go. I'll pick you up right here in a weeks time." After saying this, Lenora gave him a golden coin and left, calling out, "Bye bye, Caesar."
Caesar was perplexed, he realized that it was almost time for his lunch. She didn't even prepare his lunch and vanished into thin air to who knows where.
Caesar stood up after letting out a deep sigh. He started to glance around that's when he heard some leaf rattling he quickly held his sword and looked around to find the source of noise but was unable to find anyone. The only thing he could see was tree, Caesar quickly checked his blind spot were. Soon, he looked up thinking that a snake was hiding on branches of tree, but to his astonishment, it was an elf perched on a branch and aiming his bow at Caesar.
Seeing this Caesar sighed deeply and lowered his blade to his waist while turning to face the elf, Caesar waved his hand.
The elf was rather shocked to see a human child that was completely bled, covered in tattered clothes, and covered in mud. The elf wondered if the man was lost.
The elf was on duty as a guard and came here to hunt some game for the tribe. A specific beast's screaming caused him to stop hunting, and when he went to investigate, he found a man wandering aimlessly through the forest.
Unfortunately, Caesar was unable to understand what the elf said because it was in elven tongue.
Caesar cocked his head, unable to grasp the lingo. He pulled the coin Lenora had given him out of his bag and handed it to the elf, but the latter remained still. Caesar simply threw the coin at the elf.
After some time, the elf climbed down from the tree and grabbed the currency. On both sides of the coin, a golden dragon was minted, but what surprised the elf was the mana that was adhered to the coin. Even if there wasn't much mana, the purity of the mana was on a whole other level. The little mana has a fierceness about it.
Knowing what this currency stood for, he lowered his bow and motioned for Caesar to follow.
There was neither conflict nor fighting; everything went well. Caesar merely followed the elf as he walked.
After another 30 minutes of traveling, they finally came to a crossroads with directions heading left and right. Ignoring both directions, the elf proceeded straight ahead towards the uncharted path covered in tall bushes.
After a short while of walking, the elf stopped and raised his hand, causing a little amount of blood to pour from the spot in his thumb he sprinkled in front of him. A gateway soon appeared out of nowhere, and without waiting, both Caesar and the elf entered it going to the other side.
The usual senary of towering trees and plants was altered. The elf told Caesar to follow him as he turned around.
Caesar followed the elf with a dash of scepticism and a surge of interest; the scenery changed and it was completely unlike anything he had previously imagined. The trees at this time were large and very dense. Additionally, the mana density significantly increased.
Soon Caesar and elf were stopped by some elven guards. The first elf started conversing with the armoured elf.
All three of them spoke in an elf tongue, which Caesar was unable to understand. Finally the first elf pulled out a coin and presented it to the other elf. Both of them expressed surprise and astonishment upon seeing the coin.
The first elf was now leading the way, followed by the Caesar, and the second and third elves were standing behind Caesar following him.
Caesar did not enjoy feeling as though he was a criminal because of the elf's around him, but he kept his feelings to himself and did not express them in any way.
The tribe soon came into view; it was lovely. Caesar could see buildings, some of which were built of wood while others were literally hollowed-out trees to serve as homes. The elves would peak their heads in his direction. As he approached, many gathered along the route then other guards showed up. Some were wary while others appeared astonished.
Soon, A massive tree came into view, as the group Caesar was being led by grew significantly larger.
When they arrived to the enormous tree, the guard outside emerged from cover and peered intently at them. After giving Caesar a long look, he finally gave the go-ahead to enter.
After ascending the stairs to the top, they unlocked the large door.
Caesar was led inside an ordinary-looking room, and it featured one large work desk and two couches facing one another with a tiny table between them. On second thinking, the room was really pretty dirty. Gems and mana stones were scattered about, the weapons, artifacts, and gauntlets were merely heaped up like junk in the room's corner, while jewels and mana stones were scattered over, laying in various places.
An elderly elf was dozing off while lying back in his chair with his eyes closed. The golden-armored guard stepped forward and yelled.
"Tribal chief"
The sleeping elf simply cracked open one eye to check what was going on. Upon noticing Caesar, he opened both eyes and got out of his chair. The first elf that Caesar had contact with approached, and politely gave the minted coin to the elderly elf before describing slowly how he had come to meet the human youngster.
When the elderly elf turned to face Caesar, he finally nodded and grinned broadly the elf yelled loudly, "Everyone a visitor has arrived, make the preparation for party." He paused for a second and then said, "Everyone scramble except for the golden Knight."
The elderly elf eventually got up and sat down on the couch after everyone had departed, he inviting Caesar to take a seat in front of him.
"Welcome, dear friend, I'm Ceopetra, chief of the Petra elf tribe." The elderly elf continued to beam.
Caesar gave him a kind greeting. "My name is Caesar Von Rosehart."
The elderly elf grew thoughtful at hearing Rosehart's name, and as though realizing something, he said, "Akk! That completely makes sense; our guardian dragon is also the Rosehart family's guardian dragon.
You brought this coin here, which indicates that she has any message or mission for our people.
Having given it some thought, Caesar retorted, "Actually, Lenora told me to show this coin and get a scouting method and some elixirs."
The elderly elf produced a confused face but quickly nodded when he realized what was being said. He indicated the knight in armour.
"Hasin, will you kindly take Caesar to the guest house and see to all of his needs,m for the time being, I need to call my kid."
Then the old elf kindly excused himself after saying this.
