Al just stared at the desert before him and sighed.
So much land to traverse.
So much to suffer.
And-
With a lizard and a fish by his side.
Yeah, he kind of wanted to cry at this point but the tears were running dry.
Desert too hot.
"We should be nearing the city tomorrow," Froza said.
A faint smoldering scent lingered.
Was the damn ground burning?
"I wanted to hear 'today' but sure…" Al shrugged, staring at his left. "Are you sure you wanted to come with us? I don't mean to be rude but you're a fish and this is a desert."
Xaria grinned- the large cheeks parted smoothly like butter- "No need to worry dear, my water reserves are excellent!" It was hard to tell, but apparently, the fishdemon had fins for ears? Very pointy fins, but fins regardless. She also had some cuts on her neck but they were probably just gills.
