Two days later~
(Morio and Minoru are sitting in a cafe having breakfast with Craig)
Morio: So, (addressing Craig) Why did you invite us?
Craig: I'll tell you, but can you answer my question first?
Morio: Do whatever you want.
Craig: Did you accept Minoru's request to become an adventurer?
Morio: (laughs) Listen to me! (grabs Craig by the neck) Do you think he was able to change my mind or something?
Minoru : Damn, everyone is looking at us.
Craig: (chokes) No, that's not what I meant.
I just think Minoru is a talented person and it would be a waste for him to stay on this island, so please, boss, accept his request!
Morio: (leaves Craig) We've already talked about this.
Minoru: We talked? Anyway, I appreciate your concern, Mr. Craig, he agreed to my request.
Craig: (joyfully) I'm happy to hear this news, (grabs Minoru) Let's celebrate!!!
Morio: Sorry to interrupt you, but we have to leave now.
Craig: Why?
Morio: I handed over criminals to the police four days ago, and in a few moments they will be executed publicly. (Addressing Minoru) The person who defeated them should give a speech to the people, will you?
Minoru: Can you give the speech instead of me? I don't think I'm capable of giving a speech in front of all the citizens.
Morio: Don't worry, I know you can do it because you have all the necessary information.
Minoru: But I can't stand in front of so many people, what if I forget what I'm going to say? What if they don't like my words?
Morio: Damn it! Do whatever you want, but you and Ayako should at least meet with the mayor.
Minoru: Okay, deal . (Leaves).
Morio: (Leaves).
Craig: Why do I have to pay for everything you ate??
A security guard enters the café and asks everyone to head to Piazza Perfidia
(Minoro and Ayako enter the mayor's office, and the mayor warmly welcomes them.)
Mayor: Thank you for what you did, you saved our city from criminals.
Ayako: (Humblely) We did what we had to do.
Minoru: We lost a farmer, I can't call this a victory.
Mayor: (Sadly) I heard about it, it was terrible news, we will work to ensure that it never happens again.
(The mayor presents a medal of honor to both Minoru and Ayako) This medal is an expression of our gratitude for what you did, you have shown great courage.
Ayako: (Gratefully) Thank you, Mr. Mayor.
Minoru: (Holds the medal without saying anything)
(The mayor shakes hands with Minoru and Ayako, and bids them farewell.)
(The mayor continues to look behind them, feeling grateful for what they did.)
Vice mayor: What do you think of that boy, mayor? He kind of looks like him.
Mayor: (Smiles) Anyway, get ready! We need to head to the square now.
Morio: (He stands in front of everyone in the middle of the square and then says loudly) I stand before you today, carrying a sad news, news of the killing of good farmers at the hands of criminals who do not have a bit of mercy. I realize the extent of the pain that squeezes your hearts, and I share with you the feeling of anger and sorrow for the loss of one of our sons. He was one of the closest people to me. But I want to assure you that I will not allow these criminals to evade their crime. I have pledged to protect this town and its people, and I will not fail to do everything in my power to ensure your security and safety. I was able to arrest the criminals who committed this heinous crime, and soon they will receive their just punishment. I know that you feel fear and anxiety, but I want to assure you that the town is safe now. I have taken the company of the Mayor with all the necessary measures to ensure that such crimes are not repeated in the future and I invite you to join hands and cooperate with me to maintain the security and safety of our town. (He raises his arms towards the sky) We will not allow fear to control us, and we will not surrender to evil. (Everyone screams enthusiastically after hearing Morio's speech.)
Ayako: (surprised) What a speech! That was wonderful.
(The huge gate to the square opens, and the executioner and his assistants enter, carrying their tools. They begin to prepare the execution platform in the middle of the square. They place a large wooden board on the ground, and fix a wooden pole in the middle of it. They tie a thick rope to the pole, and prepare the sword. The prisoners gather in one corner of the square, watching what is happening with fear and dread.)
Executioner: (loudly) It's time for justice!
The town square falls silent, as the people line up in terror and dread to watch the execution scene that was about to take place. The executioner arms himself with his sword, ready to end the lives of the criminals. The executioner raises his sword to the sky.
Suddenly, a ray of lightning split the brightness of the sun, exploding in the middle of the square.
The ground trembled, dust scattered in the air, as a mysterious wizard emerged from the smoke, surrounded by a halo of light.
The wizard raised his hand, unleashing a storm of lightning that shattered the executioners' swords and freed the criminals from their chains.
The people screamed in terror, while the soldiers fled in panic.
The wizard looked at the people with a sharp look, and said in a loud voice:
**"I saved my colleagues from certain death, but I will not save you from yourselves.
You are a weak, cowardly, and pitiful people. I will return to you one day, and I will hold you accountable for your cowardice and ugliness.
Then the wizard disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving behind an empty square, and people drowning in fear and terror.
