The world Went into chaos 2000 years ago when a strange phenomenon known as "starlight" occurred. The strange phenomenon happened when the whole world shaked violently one night before it rained for 6 continuous days. The rain was as dark as the eyes could perceive. One could even call it pitch black. The rain brought with it an unfamiliar kind of energy that can reside inside the body of living things and non-living things alike.

The strange energy was thought of as blessing of the Gods by the people of that time. Eventually people no longer saw it as a blessing but as a curse because not only could that unfamiliar energy reside in humans but in animals too. Causing the animals to mutate. Some animals became stronger after the mutation and also gained intelligence while others just gained brute force.

Not only did it cause animals to mutate, bringing in new and more dangerous species, it also affected plants causing them to develop in an unimaginable way. Some plants gaines the ability to store energy making it possible to develop more advanced herbal drugs and even a different kind of healing medicine known as elixirs.

Some plants also became more poisonous with some being able to kill a low class cultivator in mere minutes. The strange energy was later named mana.

The people who were able to harness the energy known as mana became known as cultivators. At first it was a desperate attempt by humans to utilise any method available in order to survive against the mutated beasts. But they later found out that by storing mana in your body, not only will you get stronger but your body can also change according to how potent, the density, and the amount of mana a person has.

They called this phenomenon stages of cultivation. By studying the mutated beasts the realised that they could become either mages, berserkers, assassin or even swordmages. This helped them to overcome the near-extinction of humanity. And gave a rise to a world full of cultivators and mutated beasts.

500 years after the near- extinction of humanity, an event known as rifts where mana gathered at a single point in space can open a portal to another pocket dimension that has a lot of mutated beasts that can cause a dungeon break if not killed within a certain amount of time.

Dungeons where dangerous but did not pose such a threat to humans as when they first discovered mana.

Dungeons also brought with them a sort of gem known as a spirit stone. the amount of mana condensed in them determines its value. There is also a dungeon core which usually grants a skill information to the person that absorbs the dungeon core.

The best part about absorbing a dungeon core is that it causes a person to receive an ability called a mind awakening that can help a person view their skills and abilities like a form of book that lives in their mind.

A person can either absorb the beast cores for different abilities or sometimes even skills. The type and colour of the beast core determines what kind of stat you can get from it. The types are as follows

Green = Strength

Blue = Mana

Red = Stamina

White = skill

Although with the appearance of dungeons people were able to use skills but not everybody could wield any skill they wanted. There were some skills that only mages or assassins could use. These skills are classified as class-specific skills.
