Chapter 5 - Chapter 3: My Arch-nemesis.

AMIRA SINCLAIR.

Present.

I'm running late because of my encounter with Frederick so I walk as fast as I can to reach Laura's.

Her huge gate comes into view and I slip by and enter her home and directly into the kitchen because I know that's where she will be having breakfast with her family.

Anderson Walter, Laura's father, who sits on one end of the dining table donning

a dark blue three-piece suit, is a multi-millionaire, who owns the biggest pharmaceutical company in the UK.

At 6 feet above, he is a tall man with a buff body and sapphire blue eyes with a sharp jawline. His black hair is perfectly trimmed. Anderson may be in his early 50s, but he doesn't look it.

Lena Walter, Laura's mom sits on his right side and is an elegant woman. I am not one to talk but she is even shorter than me at just five feet. She and Anderson have quite a height difference but still, they fit together, perfectly.

Lena also has blue eyes but hers are a darker shade of blue. Her dark brown hair reaches her shoulder and dark red lipstick is ever present on her lips making her look like a sharp businesswoman but you would be surprised to know that she is in fact, a romance novel writer.

The two of them are one of the kindest and humblest souls I have ever met.

My best friend, Laura sits on her father's left side.

"Good morning, everyone!"

I say cheerfully, announcing my presence.

As soon as Laura sees me she leaves her seat and tackles me in a big, warm hug all while confessing how much she missed me during the summer break.

She and her family went on a trip all around the middle east.

While I spent my break locked in my room.

We texted back and forth throughout the break but we're seeing each other for the first time since the break began.

"I missed you so so much!"

She says while swaying me left and right.

She's a goofball. God, I missed her.

"I missed you a lo--"

I begin to confess when out of the blue, two muscular arms wrap around my middle and I'm lifted off the ground and spun around in a circle before being settled down on the ground again.

The buff arms remain where they are but I don't have to turn around to see who they belong to.

"Amyyyy, I missed you more!"

Says Arnold Walter, Laura's twin brother.

"Arnold! Leave her she's my best friend!"

Laura chimes, annoyed.

"And she's my girlfriend, right Amy baby?"

Arnold retorts back while pulling me back to him, smirking, looking at the annoyed face my best friend makes.

He is six feet two inches tall, my head barely reaches his shoulder.

(now, you must be wondering how I know his exact height well that's because the Arcade that we frequently go to has this wall where you can measure your height and Arnold measured it the last time we went claiming that he feels like he has grown taller than he was and Laura called his bluff but it turns out that he did grow two more inches because his height before was six feet. )

Arnold Walter has his father's blue eyes and black hair and his skin is tanned which is a sign that he had a great vacation touring the middle east. His body is built like that of a hulk. So much pure muscle. He may look intimidating to outsiders but people who know him personally know that he is one giant baby!

Looking at both twins, it is pretty clear that Anderson's side of the family has more dominant genes than Lena's family.

Arnold keeps calling me his "girlfriend" to irritate his twin because she doesn't want to "share" me with him.

Like how they had to share toys and rooms and everything as twins.

That's Laura for you. Territorial.

I chuckle at their antics.

I wonder how it feels to have an affectionate family.

I am about to say something when the front door opens and closes moving all our attention towards it and the smile that was plastered on my face vanishes the moment I lay my eyes on the intruder.

The most annoying, infuriating, and irritating person in my life. No scratch that. He is the most annoying human in this whole universe. Period!

Words can not describe the absolute disdain that I feel for Aslan Werner.

My arch-nemesis.
