Xingzi, still grappling with the truth himself, decided to play along with the lie he had just concocted. "Maybe this zombie outbreak mutated me in some different manner and granted me abilities," he replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty. He couldn't possibly tell them the truth about being from another world and the pendant in his dream healing him. That would only complicate matters further.
"So, if you guys have now confirmed that I am not a zombie or a threat, could you untie me?" He said, a playful tone in his voice as he glanced at the ropes that bound him.
