I stay, stay, stay
In my happy past
Which did not obviously last
Maybe someday
I will be happy in the present
And for the future
But I know it's not today
Till then
I will stay, stay, stay
In my happiest past
Wait for the imperfectly perfect coming days
I'm waiting for you
In my past
Vachi liked writing songs. She had written every day for the last two years. They were like short poems. She also felt that this was due to her strange powers. She could predict things and that was also manifesting in her words.
Whatever she wrote or said sometimes had a huge effect. In life, everyone's words and deeds made their future. But not everyone's casual words come true. Vachi had the power to make her words come true.
She never consciously used her power but subconsciously her words resonated with her aura.
All of this didn't matter anymore because she was stuck in a difficult situation. She wanted to curse herself for trying to use her power before she set off. The result was indeterminate. Like when you flip the coin, the coin stands upright and the dice rolls into some crevice never to be seen again.
But like a kid, she wasn't afraid of anything and set off. And now she found herself hiding behind a rock trying to minimize her presence.
And what was she facing?
There was a fight ensuing before her. It could be said as a unilateral bloodbath.
One guy was fighting ten people. She ducked the moment she saw the fight. But before that, her eyes met the opposite person's emotionless eyes.
One glance was enough to make her scared. Now she understood her prophecy. Maybe she would face a deathly life.
Adrenaline was coursing through her and she knew that if she talked her voice would have tremors. When she was calming herself down, the guy was on the other side of the rock waiting for her to appear.
Her calming down was not instant and that made him fed up with her.
"It's time for you to come out."
Like a bolt of lightning struck her, she was shocked. She moved before her brain processed.
Was her flight response not working?
His eyes were still terrifying she observed. But that didn't matter now. She was already facing the same end as those other people he fought.
"I can help you."
She mumbled.
As if amused, he asked calmly.
"I don't need anyone to help me."
Maybe this woke her up. She used her ability again. What else did she need more to understand when to use her ability?
This time it was pointing towards a favorable result. That meant she wasn't going to die. Then she became calm visibly.
The guy also noticed this and a hint of interest appeared in his eyes.
"You won't be successful in the near future for what you are trying."
The guy tensed slightly before laughing.
"You are talking about something you don't know. I would advise you to keep your nose out of other's business if you want to keep staying alive."
After that, he vanished.
Just like that, he vanished before her eyes. She never knew that there was someone who had this kind of superpower. No matter how many superpowers emerged, there was no one who could teleport.
This officially confirmed something for her. Her world which she was so confident about was something she never knew about.
That wasn't concerning enough but the fact that the place looked undisturbed rattled her. There was no sign of a fight here. That scared her to the core. Maybe she had been to places just after a fight without knowing.
What if someone died there? Was their soul watching her?
She ran away at that thought.
Vachi lay low for many days. She felt real fear after she came home. She thanked her stars that she was not dead. A near brush with death made her realize how good her life was.
She didn't meet with Avni, which showed how much scared she was. But anyway, she put the matter behind her because she was going to start her academy days.
She had nothing much to pack anyway. And she could always go back to her home on the weekend.
The academy was lively. There were students with their parents. Vachi was alone. She was used to it. Her parents were working in the real world as a superhero and a villain.
She met them during their holidays. Yes, superheroes and villains also had their days of leave. And they had something like a paid leave. So she met her parents during their vacation.
But she had also visited them in the real world once. She spent half of the time with her father and the other half with her mother.
She liked that place. The feeling there was something she never felt before. It was like she was liberated there.
When it was time for her to go back, she was extremely repulsive but she had to. Her being Normal could get her to the real world easily.
And she didn't have to work as a superhero or a villain. She could enjoy her life.
She quickly registered herself and found her dorm. It was a single room. She was satisfied.
She waited for the evening because that's when they had the welcoming ceremony.
Vachi met Avni at the location and they soon found their seats.
The welcoming ceremony was a boring phenomenon.
"I thought it would be exciting. Those seniors lied in the forum."
Avni grumbled looking at the Nth professor droning on and on about studies.
Vachi agreed with her point. She had nothing against speeches. But a maximum of five was fine. If it exceeded that, then it was a lullaby in her opinion. And looking at other students, they were having a hard time keeping their eyes open.
Vachi also understood why students didn't get insomnia in this academy. The professors were talented. But the most problems in the academy were broken bones and clothes scraping.
Superheroes and villains damaged lots of clothes and costumes. Only top superheroes had indestructible costumes. Even villains didn't get their preferential treatment.
The atmosphere changed when the dinner party began because now only students were present.
Like first impressions are the most important, first grouping was the foremost in this academy.
If you are in a group with less force value people, your future would be I'm sore circumstances.
Many people shied away from Avni because she was with Vachi.
"You can leave me alone. I'm okay."
"You idiot Vachi. Why would I be with someone who doesn't want you? And they don't know how awesome you are. My best friend is where I am. I would really like it if we are left alone like this."
It would be wrong to say that Vachi wasn't touched. But she didn't want Avni to regret anything. And anyway, she would someday form a group that would leave their footprints in this academy.
She could be alone but that way she had to deal with all the taunts and fight battles every other day. But if she had a strong group, no one would disturb her. At least this would deter some unnecessary troubles.
Vachi and Avni stood without interacting with anyone.
"You see them, they are all superheroes. Those bunch over there are snobs. They are on my floor and I didn't like them."
Vachi looked over and saw the three high-profile girls. She glanced away.
"And those are villains, I guess. Only they have the vibe of being aloof like they don't have a care in the world."
Vachi agreed with that.
"Hey, why are they surrounding that minion? Oh god, he sure is handsome. If he was a superhero, he would be worshipped. And if he was a villain, people will still try to worship him, I guess."
That made no sense but Vachi had to look.
A bad decision on her part.
Their eyes met and Vachi was taken aback. How could it be him?
He was a minion.
No one could possibly believe that, okay?
His aura was something only a villain or superhero could possess, not the academy students and certainly not a newly admitted minion.
Who was he?
But then again, he was smiling and that made her reconsider. And his hair was purple. When she saw him fighting, his hair was red.
Was he his twin or something? He just glanced at her and then looked away.
That made her understand that she was worrying unnecessarily. It was like someone infused breath in her life.
Vachi relaxed and kept noticing his performance. That relieved her immensely. He was a friendly guy and certainly not the one who had pseudo-threatened her a few days ago.
"You don't take advice well, huh?"
He stood in her way.
Vachi was going back to her dorm. Because there were very few Normals in her building, her path was deserted. Others were still socializing and she was back because she had a bedtime.
She never knew her good habits of sleeping and waking up early could land her in trouble.
"What?"
"Don't act. Any word about me will cost you dearly, understood?"
What was there not to understand? He wasn't a twin or some other guy.
This minion was the one who heroically fought all those people like a villain.
Her prophecy skills landed her at a roadblock, again.
"I need you to form a group of Normals. Stay low and act when I say."
She wanted to curse him. She already wanted to do that but now she didn't want because she was being ordered.
Jerk, she scolded him.
The voices were nearing them and she wanted him to get caught. But he vanished.
"Next time, I will get you beaten up, next time."
Vachi murmured not knowing how soon her next time would arrive.
