"Noelle…" Verl muttered under his breath as he watches his son being taken away by the Kingsguard.
"…"
On the side, watching in silence, Isaac was still the same but he was slightly angry, not to Noelle, but to himself. He felt very weak at that moment.
He wanted to step up as Klein did, seeing how unjustified their actions are on taking a man who has gone through hell but seeing how dominating and powerful the guards are, he just stayed silently on the sidelines with nothing to do.
And remembering what happened inside the maze made his anger in himself grow once more.
"System…"
Saying the word system in a hushed voice, a screen-like hologram appeared on his front, answering his call.
[Yes, Hero?]
"If I received your help, will I have the strength to make that thing not happen again? To fend off devils, evil people, and scum people?"
[Yes, I will provide the strength you needed]
Thinking it for a moment, Isaac let out a short sigh and answered, "I see… I'll accept your assistance then."
The system took a moment of silence before saying.
[Thank you for trusting me, hero]
…
"Hey, Isaac, you've been awfully quiet. I wonder what happened?"
He glances in my direction and spoke briefly, "I've been very busy,"
'Right… he also has something to do,' Nodding my head in agreement, I walked near to the duke and my other siblings, walking behind them while they were in front.
Staying in the line for a minute since a pass was given to everyone who was invited to the gathering, Verl, whose face is recognizable to the whole Fordent Kingdom, just need to show his face and the knights guarding the door let him enter inside.
Chatter—!
'How extravagant,'
Crystal-like chandeliers were hanging above, floors that has tiles that resounded the heels and shoes of the ladies and gentlemen who attended the gathering, a tune and sound circled around the place, engulfing the whole a scene of serene and calm setting.
High-long tables where food only this place could be found and chefs who cooked, adding the surroundings a sense of delighted atmosphere, are placed above the tables.
"How extravagant…" Verl muttered silently, nodding my head with a smile since we were thinking the same thing.
He looked back and warned us but not in a way that sounds intimidating but more gentlemanly, "All right, watch your manners, everyone. Even though we're at an important event, proper etiquette must be applied here.
"If you can do that, you can do what you wanted. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll have to go on someplace,"
Lori and Drake nodded solemnly, the same could be said of Isaac, Klein, me, and a few servants on his back. With that being said, the group broke and move towards different places.
Verl and Klein seemed to be on good terms now since they are back on speaking terms, alongside his servants. Drake and Lori are together and have gone above this floor, probably meeting their friends.
The ones left here near the entrance are me and Isaac.
"You can follow Verl, you know? Didn't you also do it three days ago?"
"I'm a bodyguard that your father hired. I'm here to do my job for you and not him. Besides, Klein is there in case something happens to him,"
"Huh,"
Well, having a company doesn't look so bad. Besides, I would look like some sort of outcast at this event if I don't have someone to talk with. In the first place, what he said is indeed true. He's here to guard me.
I remember the context that this was one of the passing events in the novel. Where Robyn had taken curiosity about Isaac since he got out of the maze.
And Noelle… well, senior, is just here and caused a commotion which made him evicted from the gathering, leaving a chance for Robyn to have an alone talk with him.
That's not all that happened here. When reading the passing chapters, a serious discussion happened between the leaders of the kingdoms.
They finally take action on eradicating the group The Saviours. Of course, the other gangs and evil organizations could be easily dealt with but this group, whose unknown until now, or that could be said within my knowledge, has the kingdom's rage brought onto them.
"Mhmm… this is freaking good…"
Munching some food while picking the next in line of delicacies, I swiftly moved to the second floor and began observing the whole scene.
Still, my mind went adrift on the food I was eating. After a while, I came into thought and can't help but think about it.
'How long till my knowledge of this world went away from the original one? Now, that I think about it, the main characters from the novels I've read where involved in their fiction becoming reality, suddenly being transmigrated or their world turned upside down, I wonder how they truly feel.
'Transmigrator… regressor… reader… author… Is one afraid of went drifting on the original story or choosing to use it for their benefit? Heh, now that I was assessing it, I belonged on the latter ones. Yet, that also means danger. Right, why am I even thinking about this? I've hardened my resolve on knowing more about the Anomalies and irregularities of this world and outside of this. Nothing had changed,'
Clink—! Clink—!
Suddenly, the sound of a glass clinking was heard from the first floor, leaving everyone's attention to be diverted to it.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to give my thanks to the people who attended this gathering even after what happened just a week ago. Some lives are destroyed because of these evil people who enjoyed watching the hurtful expression of normal people."
He was a man with a bright face and the way he delivered his speech sounded calming and charming. He controlled his facial expression really well.
He is…
Clap—!
Light claps answered his speech and seeing the response, the man smiled once more as he introduced himself, "My name is Ferdinand Gervasil, the firstborn son of His Majesty Reynold Gervasil, The Crown Prince, and I'm here to raise a proposal for the actions we needed to do."
The Crown Prince of the Fordent Kingdom, Ferdinand Gervasil, who would appear in one of the main events of the Unyielding Hero known as The Assassination, is here.
Beside him were His Majesty himself and the person I was looking at throughout the whole ordeal and later more when the speech if being delivered which is Robyn Gervasil.
Chatter—!
Those who belonged to Grandiif, Heyna, Borilatter, and Viscenzo gave slight courtesy while greeting His Majesty Reynold. The nobles from the Fordent kingdom itself bowed their heads as a show of respect.
Reynold raise his hand to sign everyone to stop and spoke solemnly, "My son will continue taking the matters regarding what happened last week. I hope everyone sincerely listens since this would be very important,"
Looking at his son and seeing the message of eye contact with his father, Ferdinand nodded and continued giving his speech, "Thank you, father. Now then, everyone. I think you've heard that I said earlier that I would be proposing the actions we needed to in the future. Take note that this will be a very serious discussion,"
Having my interest piqued, I leisurely seated down on one of the available tables and began listening to the speech.
"Everyone here must've known the group who've abducted children, noble men, noble ladies, is calling themselves The Saviours. How ironic, isn't it? Why were they calling themselves like that when they were the ones who are pulling mankind down to the earth and instead of saving them, they were the ones who hurt them, worse kill them?
"We understand very quickly how dangerous they are and for that, I just wanted to state one simple thing. We have to eradicate them. Remove them from this very earth, root and stem. We shouldn't let them do as they please. What they did is an act of indirect war against the five kingdoms of this continent.
"Hence, I propose that we unite our strength, combine our workforce, and defeat the scum of those people who roamed around our very earth, not receiving the justice they deserve. Give justification to the victims who've fallen under their grasp, enslaving them to their demise that has developed guilt of being unable to protect and tell their families what happened.
"By uniting the strength of the five kingdoms would be able to ensure our victory over these evil people. By doing so, our families, friends, and people who are important to us could be able to sleep at night and woke up the next morning without worrying about anything.
"Establishing a place for the official organization of all kingdoms, placing them all in one spot where borders of each kingdom will be able to receive their help. This project is nonexistent at the moment and not well planned also but if we pulled it off, it can be our greatest strength. I called this project: Peacekeepers Association."
'Peacekeepers Association, huh. Thankfully, this didn't change…' Muttering inwardly while being surprised upon hearing the speech face to face, I can't help but smile, 'With this, all the evil organization will be eradicated at the end of the volume but… The Saviour organization still survives… Is there a way to complete this in eleven months?'
Chatter—!
Hearing Ferdinand's speech, people started to talk with their peers regarding their opinion on this matter. They though this high noble gathering would be the same as others yet their image about it wholly changed as of now.
As Reynold said, this is important.
And as if he realized what was happening, Ferdinand smiled as though he was waiting for the response.
"For showing how serious our kingdom is regarding this matter, I would like you to meet the most powerful person in this kingdom at this very moment. They have already agreed to this and I'd like to show proof to you all."
Creak—!
The door of the place opened. Short gasps appeared in everyone's mouths and my lips quivered and twitch seeing that person entering.
'He's here…'
Even though this is only the passing chapter, what makes this special to me is that this was the first appearance of that person in this novel.
When I mean appearance, literally and evidently.
"I would like to present you, Mr. Dalton, from The Justice. The Strongest Ruiner of the Fordent Kingdom. Alias: Demolisher."
