Chapter 49- Mestel Avatar (Part 3)
Quickly halting himself, Akio looked up silently at the huge creature with a frozen expression. He thought he was at least far enough to create a small chance for him to escape. However, all of that was crushed in less than a second.
No one told him that this avatar can teleport instantaneously or he would've cut himself some slack. Running from a god was dumb in the first place.
As he was having such thoughts, the creature for the first time looked down at him. Its flaming blue eyes assessed Akio silently. Being stared at by what he could only assume to be the closest form of a god he will ever see, Akio weirdly didn't feel a sense of danger.
Granted, fear is still taking a major spot in his mind, but for better or worse, his life wasn't being threatened by the monster. All he felt repulsed from was the creature's appearance.
