I watched as Celeste slept in the plane looking very relaxed in my arms. I could see she was slightly hesitant about coming in with me but she still came.
She fell asleep very quickly and the book she had was long forgotten and sprawled on the bed.
Without disturbing her I picked up the book to place on a nearby seat when I noticed the cover slipping. The book was the same one my mom was reading.
'That's right they are in the same book club.' I noticed the bookmark slipping out from between the pages so I adjusted it back and saw what chapter she was on.
To say I was surprised would be an understatement. The chapter she was on was a smut scene. A very descriptive one at that. I shit the book quickly before removing the cover to read the summary on the back of the book. I did not anticipate that this type of book would be something she would want to read.
The description on the back gave no indication of the level of intensity of the scenes but rather described something that would sound like a regular romance book.
'Geez makes me wonder if she knew.' The book was quite thick but I noticed it was not the pages themselves making it thick but rather what was also inside.
She has small sticky notes littered in the pages describing her thoughts on certain passages. I skimmed the little notes and I could see why this book would interest her. The content itself aside from the smut was actually pretty good.
When it came to the more heavier chapters she did not have many comments posted at all. While this chapter had basically none compared to the other chapter the one it did have was pretty funny.
'How??' It was a sex position that is a bit complex and I could easily imagine her reading that and putting it down to question how that would physically work.
I chuckled at the thought. I figured I would make a mental note to look up the book and read it for myself.
I set it aside and went back to sleep before waking up again later to eat and enter France.
Leaving the airport was quite easy and with our ride already secured and waiting it was not a long process.
The buildings and landscape of France is beautiful. I saw some of the signs and landmarks which showed some of the destinations I wanted to take Celeste before she would meet up with her friend.
Celeste excitedly took pictures of the places we were passing so I took that opportunity to take some pictures of her.
The hotel itself was also incredible. The interior was like a royal palace and the staff gave us a tour of everything.
"We hope you enjoy your stay. Please ring if you need anything or would like for us to prepare a table for meals." The team left leaving us alone in the room. With the atmosphere I felt the heat grow inside me but I did not want to act like some horny teenager.
"Ahhh haha I am not sure why they did this." Celeste pointed sheepishly to the obvious romantic vibe they tried to establish. I could tell that she was not angry or upset that they did that but rather embarrassed because it was done without her asking for it.
"Thats fine, it was a very nice gesture. I like it...a lot." I did not want her to feel flustered by what was done considering I liked it. But her sheepish face was incredibly cute so I could n it help but poke her cheek and ruffle her hair.
"I am going to unpack." As I started to place my clothes in the closet so they don't get wrinkled I heard some rustling from behind me. "So... how was your trip? We never got a chance to discuss it."
I was reminded about my trip to Spain which ended up being a blessing and curse. I was happy that I found a way to keep Celeste in my life. But I was saddened by how my own blood treated me. Even my favorite cousin who I thought would have some loyalty to me was in on a ruse created by my grandparents.
"Oh it was interesting. It was nice seeing some family members but it made me realize how much people can change." I tried to not show much of my anger but I guess it spilled out anyways.
"What happened was someone being rude to you or hurt you?" Celeste came over and held me gently.
"Haha no worries my dear I am completely fine. It just felt strange that relationships I considered strained were patched up and people I was on good terms with are now strained."
"But overall I gained more than I lost on the trip so I am not complaining. I know this first day is just mainly for settling and some slight exploration of the nearby sights. But is there anything you would like to do otherwise?"
She paused before sharing her thoughts. "No I am beat. I think after lunch I want to see what shops are nearby and then call it a day early. Especially as we have a full day tomorrow."
"No worries we can do that."
After some exploring we called it a day and headed back to shower and get ready for the night. I was starting to feel fatigued and the hot shower was making that exhaustion more prominent. So when I stepped out I realized I did not bring everything in.
"Sorry I forgot my pajamas." Thankfully I did bring in my underwear so I would not be completely naked.
I walked past Celeste who was sitting in bed with the book in her hand. The scene I read in the plane flashed in my head and for a split second I imagined us attempting it.
I shook away the thoughts and turned to face Celeste again but to my utter shock she was looking at me with her face full of desire.
The desire was as clear as day and matched my own desire and hunger. Even though neither of us said anything, we understood what we wanted.
I walked to the bed and climbed on top of her. Careful to not hurt her, ready to eat what I was craving. Any exhaustion I had flew out the window.
