Chapter 88 - Chapter 88 - What Are We?

He kissed my forehead and smoothed my wet hair. "Take your time."

Once out of earshot I took the opportunity to call my parents back. "Hey mom sorry for the missed calls. I was in the shower." I heard her ushering my Dad to be quiet as he tried to grab the phone to talk to me. "Its ok honey, your voice sounds rough did you drink too much last night?"

I tried talking quietly to keep voice even. It was not painful but just a bit more husky than usual. "Ahh sorry I did a few shots with the girls so my hangover right now is a bit rough. And the music was really loud so combined with me not drinking water I probably sound a bit dehydrated."

Normally I would not really want to omit stuff to my parents. But this was a boundary I did not want to cross.

"I saw the clothes you guys sent. Thank you. Also are you guys not here? I woke up and Dean told me that you guys were not in any of the other rooms. Did you leave early to have breakfast or soemthing?"

My dad at that talked loudly to be heard from behind my mom. "We did not stay there last night!" I heard my mom shove my dad on his shoulder. "Enzo! Ha sorry sweetie we did stay for a bit but once it was getting close to midnight and the noise was still going strong from the party we decided to head down to sleep better."

I didn't think the noise pollution was that loud from the party. But then again I was focused on other things. "Really huh I didn't notice. Anyways, whats your plan for breakfast? Should I wait and come down to eat with you guys or head down once I eat here?"

My parents began murmuring as they contemplated my choices. "If you are not feeling well I could just eat there honey. If Dean doesn't mind actually it might be better if he drive you back to our place."

I raised an eyebrow surprised at their suggestion. "Well your father and I were thinking that if anyone saw you two leave together then there might be some rumors or speculation. By leaving directly from there no one will see and say rude things."

That was a good point. Dean and I were not the first to leave but while the focus was not on us, eyes were still watching and ears listening. If we left now even though the clothes would cover any marks or love bites, I am sure if we stopped right by the hotels where every guest and their parents were staying. It was setting us up for failure.

"Good idea. Ok then I suppose I will see you at home."  "See you later honey. Be safe!"

After hanging up I stretched and got ready to dry my hair and get dressed. The shower definitely helped and thankfully the weather was cool and perfect for wearing things like a turtleneck.

My neck, collarbones, and overall chest were littered with love bites. Dean had taken a strong liking to that area of my body and did not have mercy. It wasn't sore in the shower but when I grazed my hand over the skin it felt like a bruise. Just tender. So I decided instead of a traditional bra, my bralette would be a better choice as it was a lighter softer fabric. Thankfully my mom knew what to grab.

The other clothes in the luggage included a cashmere turtleneck. It was oversized so it was easy to put on. She also included my black yoga pants which was also another easy thing to put on. I saw the hoodie that matched with Deans but considering the way the collar opened it would leave me more exposed.

By the time I finished I made my way to the kitchen to see Dean fully dressed as well and cooking. He had just finished plating. "Oh wow these look delicious!" He had made some homemade breakfast sandwiches. With bacon and egg and the whole nine yards it looked perfect for refueling.

"Thank you, now lets eat." As we sat together we ate in silence. Just the sounds of us chewing filled the silence. It was comfortable though. I was too engrossed in the meal. I did not realize how hungry I was that despite being a notorious slow eater, I finished before Dean.

Dean was a good eater and I used to joke he was my personal food disposer as he often would eat whatever I could not. "Glad you liked the meal. I think there is some strawberries if you would like? I also have more orange juice."

I had finished both my drink and meal and felt satisfied. "No thank you I should be good. I am very satisfied. But I have a favor to ask, my parents suggested you take me home from here to avoid unwanted eyes."

Dean had just finished his meal and was now working on his drink. "Of course. Let me know when you want to head down."

I ended up insisting that I get a chance to wash the dishes before we trekked back to the car. I felt bad about not helping make the meal. Though Dean truthfully was a far better cook than I was.

We packed up the car and headed straight home. As we passed the hotels and villas I saw everyone barely packing up and some just hanging out outside in the parking area. In particular I saw Felix and his family packing up but it seems his mom was refusing to get in their car. It seemed she was waiting for someone.

"Good thing we left now, imagine traffic if we left later." I looked over at Dean who seemed to be lost in thought. The seriousness in his expression made me nervous. "Everything ok?"

He drummed his fingers across the steering wheel. "Yeah but I think we need to talk about last night, at least now that we have this time alone." I sighed. I knew this was coming. I expected it at breakfast since we basically moved past the events from last night as if it was something we did normally.

But I also wanted to discuss it. "Thank goodness you brought it up. I wasn't sure how I was going to." His expression relaxed, cracking a lopsided grin before returning back to a serious straight line. "Then I guess let me start. Last night was... heavenly... for lack of a better word. At least for me, which I hope you experienced the same or better. But considering that... what are we?"
