On the 2nd deck reserved for the D-rankers, Senior Wu sat on his bed. His hair dripped water from his fresh shower, skin tight as he was not used to not having his excessive ten-step skincare regimen with him.
In any other circumstances, Senior Wu would have been declaring the end of the world if he was to be seen without even a touch of eyeliner. He would have cried over his delicate skin gaining a pimple or two from staying in closed spaces like ship suites where air conditioning was harsh and there were no real windows to air out the stale air.
But currently, Senior Wu sat dazed on his thin mattress, with the towel draped over his shoulders, hands folded over his thighs, staring at the wall opposite him.
It had taken him a little bit of searching to understand how to pull up the system shop in his line of vision. In the end, it seemed to work like mind-controlled virtual goggles that one couldn't see on the outside.
